Cryst. Liq. Cryst. 1991, Band 206, Seiten 187 ff. und in J. Chem. Soc. Perkin Trans. II, 1989, Seiten 2041 ff bekannt. The use of cross coupling for liquid synthesis crystalline compounds of general formula I is from DE 39 30 663, W091 / 08184 and the articles by E. Poetsch in Kon takte (Darmstadt) 1988, Issue 2, pages 15 ff. and from G. W. Gray et al. a. in Mol. Cryst. Liq. Cryst. 1991, volume 206, Pages 187 ff. And in J. Chem. Soc. Perkin Trans. II, 1989, pages 2041 ff.
In Chemistry Lett. In Chemistry Lett. 1989, pages 1405 ff reports that the addition of thallium (I) salts the Yields in the cross-coupling reaction of alkyl or aryl boronic acid esters and organic halides can improve.
In W091 / 08184 on page 12 two synthesis routes for the Production of the liquid crystalline compounds of the general my formula I using the cross coupling:
According to synthesis route 1, a difluorine is formed in a first stage zol with butyllithium or lithium diisopropylamide in the presence implemented by trimethyl borate and in a second stage Boronic acid obtained with a difluorobromobenzene in the presence of tetrakis (triphenylphosphine) palladium - (O) and one aqueous sodium carbonate solution in a mixture with toluene to a Compound according to the general formula I implemented.
According to synthesis route 2, a difluorobenzene with butyllithium lithiated at -78 ° C and then at the same temperature iodized. The difluoroiodobenzene obtained is then with a boronic acid in the presence of tetrakis (triphenyl phosphine) palladium - (O) and an aqueous sodium carbonate solution mixed with toluene.
In practice, however, it has been shown that 1 no cross coupling can be achieved. Either it occurs no reaction or it is due to base induced hydro lyse the difluorobenzene regressed.
Even the presence of a base as weak as pyridine leads to hydrolysis of the boronic acid. Therefore, for the Preparation of compounds according to general formula I. the complex synthesis path 2 are followed, in which in two reaction stages at -78 ° C must be worked. This Process is not suitable for large-scale production. It can only be carried out safely on a laboratory scale.
O-Fluorphenyllithium- bzw. -magnesiumverbindungen besitzen eine geringe Stabilität. Insbesondere 2,3-Difluorphenyl lithium-Derivate spalten oberhalb -50°C Lithiumfluorid ab, wobei 1-Fluor-2,3-benzolderivate entstehen, welche unkontrol liert zu unbekannten Folgeprodukten weiterreagieren.Have O-fluorophenyllithium or magnesium compounds low stability. In particular 2,3-difluorophenyl lithium derivatives release lithium fluoride above -50 ° C, whereby 1-fluoro-2,3-benzene derivatives are formed, which are uncontrolled reacted to unknown secondary products.
At -50 ° C the rate of the decomposition reaction is 2,3-difluorophenyllithium derivatives still low, it runs however explosive at -25 ° C (critical temperature -22.5 ° C), where the 2,3-difluorophenyllithium derivatives suddenly decompose. For larger approaches in production areas This procedure is out of the question because when it is switched off in the case of the coolant, the reaction mixture is explosive decomposed.
The object of the invention is to provide a manufacturing method for To provide O-fluorophenyl derivatives that have the disadvantages of has not been used previously and is risk-free and inexpensive to carry out on an industrial scale is.
Diese Aufgabe wurde gemäß der Erfindung gelöst durch ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel IThis object was achieved according to the invention by a Process for the preparation of compounds of general Formula I.

worin
wherein
Y means Br or J and A 2 , A³, Z 2 , R 2 and m have the meaning given above, in a solvent-water mixture in the presence of a transition metal catalyst and a water-soluble borate at a pH between 5 and 9 and a temperature in the range of 20 to 100 ° C.
It has been found that the reaction only takes place in the presence of a water-soluble borate, the pH between 5 and 9, preferably around the neutral point. Water-soluble borates such as borax and boron compounds that form borates in water such as NaBH 4 can be used. It is advisable to use a borate-hydrochloric acid buffer, for example the commercially available "buffer solution pH 8". The buffer solution can, for example, be placed in the reaction vessel and metered in during the reaction while maintaining the above-mentioned pH.
Transition metal catalysts can be used as catalysts for example tetrakis (triphenylphosphine) palladium - (O) or 1,1′-bis (diphenylphosphino) ferrocene palladium (II) chloride be used.
The reaction temperature is in the range from 20 ° C to 100 ° C. It is preferably in a range from 70 ° C to 90 ° C set.
Suitable solvents are hydrocarbons such as Example toluene and ethereal solvents, for example Tetrahydrofuran. Unsuitable as a solvent for the reaction are halogenated hydrocarbons and acidic solvents.
The method has the advantage that all Synthesis steps in a temperature range that is technical can be mastered without difficulty can.
The decisive advantage of the synthesis according to the invention quenz is therefore that the technically complex Lithiation of fluoroaromatics at -78 ° C with subsequent Iodination at the same temperature according to the previous Ver driving can be saved. Furthermore, the scope of the usable connections higher, since also sterically handicapped Boronic acid compounds, such as the so-called "Fork fluoroboronic acids" (2,6-difluoroaryl boronic acids) vice versa can be set. Compared to the previous method there is no gas evolution, which makes the large-scale Feasibility of the procedure, especially with regard to security, is further improved. Through the fiction According to the synthesis sequence, a time saving of up to 90% reached. During the classic procedure two days are needed for the synthesis, the implementation is after Process according to the invention completed in 3 to 4 hours. It is also advantageous that according to the inventive method yields of up to 90% can be achieved and not converted boronic acid by simple crystallization from the Reaction mixture can be recovered.

Das pH-Meter zeigte einen pH-Wert von 9.31 g of 4- [trans- 4'-n-pentylcyclohexyl] -2,6-difluorobenzene boronic acid in 300 ml Dissolved tetrahydrofuran, 22 g of 1-bromo-3,4-difluorobenzene and 40 ml of commercially available pH-8 buffer added and the mixture heated to 50 ° C. The pH meter showed a pH of 9.
Then 1 g of tetrakis (triphenylphosphine) palla dium (O) catalyst added, heated to 65 ° C and 3.5 Heated at this temperature for hours, being within this time the pH between 6.4 and 7.4 by portions wise addition of a total of 400 ml of 4% borax solution constant was held.
The mixture was poured into a mixture of 300 ml of water and 10 ml concentrated hydrochloric acid. The top organic Phase was separated and the aqueous phase with 100 ml Toluene extracted.
