Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a needled conveyor belt for Transport of webs of goods or the like, in particular a needled, endless printing blanket running around two pulleys for one Printing machine for patterning (printing) carpet carpets or tiles, on which the goods during the sampling process (Printing process) is held immovably.
In the sampling process (printing process) it is imperative required that the goods, for example a raw white Carpet sheet or carpet tiles on the printing blanket are not can slip, so that a precise and repeatable print, especially with fine and high-colored patterns.
In a known device, the printing blanket is with a rigid needle bed provided, the needles over the entire Surface of the printing blanket are evenly distributed.
It has been found to be disadvantageous that the needled printing blanket can practically only be used for a certain product thickness to which the printing head of the printing press is matched. With other product thicknesses, an appropriate adjustment of the printhead can lead to damage (bending) of the needles by the printhead or to damage to the printing templates by the needles.
The object of the invention is to improve the device for guiding goods described at the outset in such a way that their use for goods of different thicknesses, quality and structure is made possible.
The object is achieved in a device of the type described in the introduction by the measures listed in the characterizing part of claims 1 or 2.
Developments of the invention are described in the subclaims.
The invention is described below exclusively for a conveyor belt designed as a printing blanket for a printing press. However, the invention is not limited to this application, rather other applications for conveyor belts are possible, for example conveyor belts for transporting and guiding conveyed goods, in which an exact position on the belt is important or in which goods are to be prevented from the conveyor belt falls down.
In the device designed according to the invention, the needles are not rigidly connected to the printing blanket, but the needle bed of the printing blanket is movable, ie the height of the needles above the printing blanket is adjustable and / or they are inclined. With this design, the needle bed can be adjusted and adjusted to the characteristics of the goods, for example its thickness, so that damage to the needles or the printing templates is avoided.
The needle holder is guided a short distance below the printing blanket, ie in the immediate vicinity of the underside opposite the top of the printing blanket, the distance of the needle holder from the underside being able to be between zero and 5 millimeters.
The height of the needle bed is advantageously set so that the depth of penetration of the needles is a quarter to a half of the product thickness. The goods are "skewered" as on the "nail board" of a fakir. Due to the large number of needles, an exact product guidance is achieved without damaging the product itself. Because the goods lie loosely on the needle bed, they can be lifted off the blanket after the sampling process (printing process) has ended.
verlaufen.
There are several options for the arrangement and design of the needle bed. A first possibility is to distribute the needle bed evenly over the entire surface of the printing blanket. Accordingly, the printing blanket has an evenly distributed hole pattern over the entire width and the needle holder is adapted to the dimensions of the hole pattern surface, so that a needle of the needle holder engages in each hole of the hole pattern.
When patterning or printing in particular raw tile goods with a planographic printing machine, it can happen with light raw goods or highly viscous printing pastes as a result of adhesion that when the printing stencil is lifted off, a carpet tile adheres to the printing stencil and is lifted up. This usually leads to rejects. Due to the oblique arrangement of the needles according to claim 2, the raw material is held on the printing blanket.
Claims 3 and 4 show a solution in which the printing blanket is divided into needled and non-needled areas. These are pinstripes that run parallel to the edges of the printing blanket, i.e. in the longitudinal direction or transversely to the longitudinal direction. A pinstrip for stabilizing the web and each one or more additional pinstrips is advantageously arranged in the edge area of the printing blanket. This reduces the effort required for needling the printing blanket and for the needle holder.
In an embodiment of the needling according to claim 2 in connection with claim 5 or 6, the inclination of the needles is provided in rows, ie all needles of a row of needles are inclined, with at least two rows of needles, preferably those on the outer edge region of the printing blanket or those in the edge region of the Raw material penetrating rows of needles in the opposite direction and that are inclined transversely to the direction of travel, so that a certain bracket effect is achieved with which the goods are pulled to the printing blanket. It is advisable to tilt the needles between 16 and 30 degrees.
If the printing press is equipped with so-called pressure bars to support the printing blanket, the pin strips are relatively narrow, for example no more than three rows of needles are arranged next to one another. The needle bed is advantageously constructed from individual rows of needles spaced from one another. This has the advantage that in the area of intersection of the pinstripes or rows of needles with the pressure bars, the support of the printing blanket by the pressure bars is only interrupted in a narrow section, so that a uniform application of paint is ensured.
As already mentioned at the beginning, the needle holder can be adapted to the dimensions of the needle bed. The needle holder can accordingly be adapted to the width of the pinstripe or row of needles, so that a separate needle holder is assigned to each pinstripe or row of needles. According to claim B, straps, tapes, straps or chains can be used as the needle holder. Depending on the material of the needle holder, the needles can be used like "spikes" in a car tire, for example by pushing them into prepared holes or "shooting in". Toothed belt-like belts or tapes are particularly suitable as needle carriers, in whose ribs or "teeth" the needles are inserted. In addition to its good flexibility, such a needle carrier offers a sufficient cross section for the attachment of the needles. In the case of a metallic needle carrier, the needles are preferably welded on. The needle holder can be constructed in the manner of a link chain, the needles being fastened to the webs of the chain like the teeth of a chain saw, preferably molded integrally with the material.
Nadelhalter in Führungen gelagert.
11).There are several options for the height adjustment of the needles. A first option is to adjustably attach the needles in the needle holder, e.g. B. screw in. To adjust, the needles are screwed into or out of the needle holder.
According to claim 9, the adjustment can be simplified considerably by the needle holder being adjustable and the needles being firmly connected to the needle holder, ie the distance of the needle holder from the underside of the printing blanket is variable, for example adjustable in a distance range from zero to 5 millimeters . This means that at a distance of zero the needles protrude the furthest from the printing blanket and least at a distance of 5 millimeters. In practice, the needles can be adjusted in height by inserting spacers of different thicknesses between the underside of the printing blanket and the needle holder. To prevent the needle holder from sagging, the needle holders are mounted in guides. The guides can be used in a simple manner for adjusting the needles (claim 10). The guides can be adjusted mechanically, for example by spindle drives with a handwheel, electrically by means of adjusting gears or electromagnets, hydraulically or pneumatically by linear motors such as hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders. This further development results in an adjustment range for the needles, for example of 5 millimeters, which permits stepless adjustment. Of course, a larger or smaller adjustment range of the needles can also be selected.
For design reasons, it may be advantageous to incline the needles only in the area of engagement with the goods to be printed, but to guide them upright on the deflection rollers and in the empty run. For this purpose, it is necessary to form a guideway which gradually leads from the front deflection roller to the needles in the direction of travel of the printing blanket from the upright position to the inclined position and in this position holds stable over the entire “active area” of the printing blanket and then, at the end of the printing web, i.e. behind the printing stencil, gradually return from the inclined position to the upright position (Claim 11).
Kreisebenen, was unterschiedliche Umfangsgeschwindigkeiten zur
Es zeigen:In addition to the function of height adjustment, the guides designed in this way can also be adjustable (rotatable) about their longitudinal axes, so that one or the other row of needles can optionally be inclined.
As already described in connection with claims 3 and 4, attention should also be paid to a narrow design when forming the needle carriers and guides, because in the case of needle strips or rows of needles running in the longitudinal direction of the pressure blanket, the corresponding needle holders and guides also interrupt the pressure bars installed transversely thereto and so that the printing blanket is not supported in these areas.
Like the printing blanket, the needle holders can run in an endless loop around two rollers. According to claim 13, the needle bed extends over the entire length of the printing blanket. The needles always remain in engagement with the hole pattern of the printing blanket.
This results in some special features: recesses are to be provided on the circumference of the rollers in which the needle holders are guided. Thus, the printing blanket and the needle holder move on the roller on different concentric circular levels, which results in different peripheral speeds. However, synchronous operation of the printing blanket and needle holder is required. This requirement can be met in a simple manner by a lubricant on the contact surface of the needle holder. Another possibility is to construct the needle holder from individual elements which are arranged at a distance from one another and one behind the other (claim 16). Each individual element is preferably equipped with a row of needles consisting of up to four needles. Furthermore, the individual elements can also be equipped with a plurality, preferably two or three, parallel rows of needles, it being possible, if necessary, to arrange the rows of needles with an offset by a grid pitch.
In order to establish synchronism, a free-running roller can also be provided in the roller recesses.
In the development according to claim 14, an endless needle carrier (claim 8) is preferably used. The needles mesh with the mesh of the printing blanket. The inner pair of rollers can have a smaller diameter than the outer pair of rollers. As a result, the needles in the empty run come out of engagement with the hole pattern of the printing blanket. The advantage is that the perforated grid of the printing blanket can be easily cleaned, so that color residues in the perforated grid can also be removed when changing colors.
According to claim 15, a uniform adjustment of the needles can be carried out in a simple manner over the entire length of the needle bed. The rails can be designed as rigid beams and can bridge the entire free distance between the rollers, with each rail preferably being carried by two adjusting devices.
According to claim 17, the needles in the deflection phase from the upright position to the inclined position and back have sufficient freedom of movement in the area of penetration of the printing blanket. The size of the holes for the needles in the printing blanket is kept to a minimum.
According to claims 18 and 19, the printing blanket is protected from damage by the needles and wear is reduced. By guiding the needles up to the tips, the stability of the needles is increased.
Claims 21 and 22 deal with the drive of the needle holder. Due to the positive coupling of the needle holder with the pressure blanket over the needles, the needle holder is driven through the pressure blanket. The needle holders are "dragged along" without a drive.
According to claim 22 printing blanket and needle holder can be equipped with a common drive or with a separate drive.

Umlenkrollen 12 in Ausnehmungen 29 gelagert.
Fig. 1 of the drawing shows a schematic representation of a 6-color rotary printing press 9 for patterning (printing) of carpet. In this printing press only those parts of a printing line are shown which are necessary for an understanding of the invention. The devices for cleaning, moistening, pre-steaming and feeding the goods upstream of the actual printing machine 9 and the devices for steaming, fixing and washing the patterned goods and fixing the colors downstream of the printing machine 9 are not shown. Furthermore, devices for changing and washing the printing stencils 10 as well as the printing paste preparation and feeding, which are connected to the printing press 9 , may not be shown. All system parts, not shown, can have a structure known per se. It should be expressly pointed out that the invention can also be implemented on a planographic printing press instead of on a rotary printing press.
To simplify the illustration, the same parts are provided with the same reference symbols.
To hold and guide the carpet web 37 in the printing press 9 , the endless printing blanket 14 , which runs around two deflection rollers 12 at a constant speed, is made of a multilayer rubberized textile fabric of 2 to 3 millimeters in thickness. Depending on the size of the printing press, printing blankets with a working width of up to 5 meters and a length of 24 meters are used. The carpet web 37 to be patterned (to be printed) is transported on the printing blanket 14 through the printing nip of the rotating printing stencils 10 . In order to immovably hold the carpet web 37 on the printing blanket 14 during the sampling process (printing process), the printing blanket 14 is equipped with a needle bed 15 . The needles 16 of the needle bed 15 protrude upright from the printing blanket 14 like the nails of a nail board and penetrate with their tips 17 into the carpet web 37 ( FIG. 6) and prevent the carpet web from slipping or stretching on the printing blanket 14 would lead to repeat errors.
As can be seen from FIG. 2 of the drawing, the needle bed 15 is formed from four needle strips 18 or rows of needles which are distributed over the width of the printing blanket 14 and run in the longitudinal direction of the printing blanket.
In order to be able to adjust the height of the needles 16 above the printing blanket 14 , they are not attached directly to the printing blanket 14 , but to the separate needle holder 19 , 20 , which is located below that of the printing blanket 14 and which is vertically adjustable and moves at the same speed and in the same direction as the printing blanket. According to FIG. 7, the needles 16 have groove-shaped profiles 22 on their fastening shafts, by means of which they are inserted, preferably pressed, into vertical bores of the needle holders 19 , 20 , which are not described in more detail.
So that the needles 16 can penetrate the printing blanket 14 without damaging them, the printing blanket has a perforated grid 23 , the hole diameter of which depends on the diameter of the needles 16 and which, according to FIG. 2, consists of four perforated strips, each with three rows of holes, into which the needles are placed 16 engage and protrude with their tips 17 on the top 24 of the printing blanket 14 . The distance between the needles 16 corresponds exactly to the grid dimension of the hole grid 23 .
The engagement of the needles 16 in the hole pattern 23 of the printing blanket 14 results in a coupling of the printing blanket 14 and the needle holder 19 , 20 , so that the running direction and running speed of the needle holder 19 , 20 inevitably depend on the running direction and the running speed of the printing blanket 14 .
As can be seen from FIG. 2, needled areas and non-needled areas alternate on the printing blanket 14 . Accordingly, each pinstripe 18 is equipped with a separate needle holder 19 , 20 , the width of which is adapted to the width of the pinstripe 18 ( FIG. 8).
Fig. 3 of the drawing shows a first embodiment for the needled pressure ceiling 14. In this embodiment, the needle holders 19 consist of individual segments arranged one behind the other at a distance. The row of segments is guided around the deflection rollers 12 of the printing blanket 14 . Each segment is approximately 30 millimeters wide and approximately 50 millimeters long and has three or four ribs 25 , which are connected to one another via a bendable web 26 . In the ribs 25 , the needles 16 are inserted in the manner already described, each rib 25 being equipped with one or two needles, so that a segment of max. can hold six or eight needles. The diameter of a needle 16 is 1 to 2 millimeters and the installation length from the tip 17 to the end 8 to 15 millimeters.
Referring to FIG. 7, the segments are loosely with the needles 16 in the holes 13 of the perforated grid used 23 and movably guided in the holes 13 of the perforated grid 23, so that, depending on the distance between the bottom 21 of the printing blanket 14 and the needle carrier 19, the needle tips 17 protrude more or less high over the top 24 of the printing blanket 14 . The individual segments are mounted between the deflection rollers 12 in guides 27 , 28 and on the deflection rollers 12 in recesses 29 .
The guides 27 , 28 are designed as continuous rails with a sliding surface 30 for supporting the needle carriers 19 , 20 and with projecting edges 31 for lateral guidance of the needle carriers 19 , 20 ( FIG. 8). The upper guides 27 are vertically adjustable, so that the distance of the needle holder 19 from the underside 21 of the printing blanket 14 can be changed by raising or lowering the guides 27 and thus adjusting the needles 16 . In order to adjust the guides 27 , adjustment drives 32 are provided between the deflection rollers 12 , which operate mechanically, electrically, hydraulically or pneumatically and are arranged in such a way that the needles 16 are adjusted uniformly over the entire upper side 24 of the printing blanket 14 . The adjustment range of the needles 16 on the top 24 of the printing blanket 14 ranges from 0 to 5 millimeters.
Druckdecke 14 in Eingriff.
In
Schlitze 41 ausgebildet. The Fig. 4 of the drawings shows a further embodiment for the needling of the printing ceiling 14. In this embodiment, the needle holder 20 is designed as an endless belt or belt with a width of approximately 30 millimeters, which is guided around two deflection rollers 33 arranged between the deflection rollers 13 for the printing blanket 14 . In contrast to the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 3, in this embodiment there is an intermeshing arrangement of the needles 16 with the holes 13 of the printing blanket 14 . On the upper side 24 of the printing blanket 14 , the needles 16 are in engagement with the holes 13 along the length of the needle bed 15 . The movement of the printing blanket 14 in the direction of the arrow engages the needles 16 in the region of the left deflection roller 33 and disengages the printing blanket 14 in the region of the right deflection roller 33 . In Fig. 5 the engagement area of the needles in the holes 13 of the blanket 14 is shown enlarged. In contrast to a gear transmission in which a tooth of one gear engages in a tooth gap of the other gear, in this embodiment many needles 16 are simultaneously engaged with the holes 13 in the pressure blanket 14 . Thus, the deflection rollers 12 with the pressure blanket 14 and the deflection rollers 33 with the needle holder 20 form a gear, so that a drive of the needle holder 20 can be dispensed with. However, it is easily conceivable to drive both pairs of rollers 12 , 33 or to synchronize the speed of the deflection roller 12 and the speed of the deflection roller 33 via a separate gear.
The needles 16 are adjusted, as in the embodiment according to FIG. 3, by the guide 27 arranged between the deflecting rollers 33 , which is designed as a continuous rail and is adjustable in the direction of the arrow "X" ( FIG. 5). Another possibility for the adjustment is that the guide 27 is fixed in its position in relation to the deflection rollers 33 and the entire assembly of deflection rollers 33 and guide 27 is adjustable in the direction of the arrow "X".
As can be seen from Fig. 4, the needles 16 are in the empty strand out of engagement with the holes 13 of the printing blanket. The printing blanket and needle holder 20 can thus be cleaned in a simple manner in this area.
The printing blanket 14 according to FIG. 4 can be equipped with the same perforation grid 23 and the same number of pin strips as the printing blanket according to FIG. 2. Accordingly, four needle holders 20 equipped with needles 19 can be fitted onto the deflection rollers 33 . However, a continuous needle holder 20 can also be used, which is only equipped with needles 16 in the area of the hole pattern 23 .
Fig. 7 shows that the edges of the holes 13 are reinforced by rivet-like sleeves 34 made of steel. These sleeves 34 simultaneously form guides 35 for the needles 16 .
Fig. 8 shows that the support of the printing blanket 14 is interrupted on the pressure beam 36 in the region of the needle strip 18. It is therefore important to ensure that this area is kept narrow so that incorrect printing is avoided. If possible, a pinstripe 18 should consist of no more than three rows of needles, preferably only one row of needles.
In FIG. 6 of the drawings, the printing operation in the area of a printing stencil 10 is shown. The printing blanket 14 can be seen on which the carpet web 37 rests and into which the needles 16 penetrate with their tips 17 and hold them in place. Furthermore, it can be seen that by appropriately adjusting the guide 27 , the needles 16 have penetrated up to about half of the cross section of the carpet web 37 .
Inside the printing stencil 10 there is an ink application roller 38 which rotates in the same direction as the printing stencil 10 . The printing ink is located in the gusset 39 between the application roller 38 and the printing stencil 10 , specifically where the application roller and printing stencil turn towards one another. During the printing process, printing stencil 10 and application roller 38 can lie on the carpet web 37 evenly over their entire width with their own weight. The printing ink is pressed into the carpet through holes (not shown) in the stencil 10 . The gap between the stencil and printing blanket is kept constant by the very stiff pressure beam 36 over the entire length of the stencil 10th
The Fig. 9 of the drawings shows a section across the print ceiling 14. The arrangement shown is particularly suitable for printing or patterning raw tile goods 40 with a planographic printing machine or planographic printing stencil. In contrast to the rotary printing press mentioned at the outset, in a planographic printing press the printing blanket 14 is moved step by step in accordance with the size or the repeat of the printing template.
As can be seen from FIG. 9, the needles 16 of the outer rows of needles 18 are inclined and indeed inclined away from one another, so that, as can also be seen from FIG. 9, this causes the tile 40 , in particular the edges thereof, to be lifted off the pressure ceiling 14 the printing stencil is prevented.
The outer row of needles 18 are inclined (only) on the upper side 24 of the printing blanket between the deflection rollers 12 . For this purpose, the needle holders 19 , 20 are gradually guided in the running direction behind the first deflection roller 12 from the upright position through inclined sliding surfaces 30 of the guides 27 into the inclined position and held in this position. Accordingly, the carpet tile 40 is additionally tightened when the needles 16 penetrate due to the continuously increasing inclination. In the running direction in front of the second deflection roller 12 , the needles 16 are again gradually straightened by the sliding surfaces 30 of the guides 27 . Sufficient movement of the needles in the printing blanket 14 is required for the inclination and straight position of the needles 16 . The holes 13 are therefore designed as slots 41 .
