Description

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Versiegeln einer Blisterverpackung, bestehend aus einer Blisterhaube aus thermoplastischem Kunststoff, dem Verpackungsgut und einem Träger, ebenfalls aus thermoplastischem Kunststoff, nach der Gattung des Hauptanspruches.
Aus der DE 37 22 214 A1 ist eine Vorrichtung bekannt, bei der umlaufende Paletten zum Einlegen und Transportieren der Blisterhauben vorgesehen sind. Diese liegen auf einer ebe­ nen, dünnen Metallfolie auf. Beim Siegeln der Blisterhaube gegen einen Träger aus Karton wird eine unter den Paletten angeordnete, beheizte Siegelelektrode gegen die Metallfolie gepreßt, als Gegenlage dient eine Platte.
Die Anordnung der beheizten Siegelelektrode unterhalb eines Trägers für die Blisterhauben bringt sowohl bei linearen Systemen wie auch bei der Anordnung auf einem Drehteller einen höheren konstruktiven Aufwand mit sich als wenn die beheizte Siegelelektrode oberhalb der Blisterhaube angeord­ net ist. Bei der DE 37 22 214 wurde diese Ausführung deshalb gewählt, weil das Siegeln von der Blisterseite her beim Siegeln der Blisterhaube gegen einen Karton Vorteile bringt hinsichtlich Verzug.
Wenn anstelle des Trägers aus Karton eine Kunststoffolie eingesetzt wird, können die Vorteile der Anordnung der Sie­ gelelektrode oberhalb der Blisterhaube ausgenutzt werden, weil es bezüglich des Verzuges gleich ist, von welcher Seite gesiegelt wird. Dieser Verzug tritt allerdings bei den Ver­ siegelungen deshalb auf, weil nach dem Siegeln und nach dem Wegfahren der Siegelelektrode eine warme Zone ohne Einspan­ nung und ohne direkte Kühlung abkühlen muß.
Es besteht zudem die Gefahr, daß die Kunststoffolie an der heißen Siegelelektrode kleben bleibt, weil zur Erreichung einer kurzen Siegelzeit möglichst warm gefahren wird.
Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, die Vorrichtung so auszubilden, daß beim Versiegeln von Blisterpackungen, bei denen der Träger aus thermoplastischem Kunststoff besteht, ein möglichst geringer Verzug der Blisterverpackung ein­ tritt. Ein Kleben der Kunststoffolie an der heißen Siegel­ elektrode sollte nicht eintreten. Baumäßig sollte ein gerin­ ger Platzbedarf erforderlich sein und es sollten geringe Formatkosten anfallen. Auch bei Mehrfachpackungen sollte die Vorrichtung einsetzbar sein.
Zur Lösung der Aufgabe werden die kennzeichnenden Merkmale des Hauptanspruches vorgeschlagen. Dadurch, daß um die be­ heizte Siegelelektrode herum ein voreilender, gekühlter Kühlrahmen mit einer dünnen Metallplatte angeordnet ist und das Siegeln durch diese Metallplatte hindurch erfolgt, bleibt der versiegelte Rand der Blisterverpackung nach dem Abheben der Siegelelektrode noch eingespannt. Da der Rahmen gekühlt ist, kühlt die Metallplatte relativ rasch ab und kühlt dadurch den Siegelrand unter Einspannung ab. Eine Klebegefahr zwischen Metallplatte und Kunststoffolie ist damit weitgehend verhindert und kann durch eine entsprechen­ de Oberflächenbeschichtung weiter reduziert werden. Je nach Art des Antriebes der Siegelelektrode stoppt der Antrieb gegebenenfalls nach dem Abheben der Siegelelektrode. Bei einem Antrieb über einen Kniehebeltrieb verläuft das Abheben sowieso mit langsamer Geschwindigkeit, so daß die Abkühlzeit bei einem entsprechend großen Federweg des Kühlrahmens aus­ reichend lang ist.
Ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung und vorteilhafte Wei­ terbildungen sind anhand der schematischen Zeichnungen näher beschrieben.
Es zeigt:
Fig. 1 einen Querschnitt durch die Siegelstation bei ganz abgehobener Siegelelektrode,
Fig. 2 denselben Querschnitt beim Siegeln,
Fig. 3 denselben Querschnitt nach dem teilweisen Abheben der Siegelelektrode,
Fig. 4-5 verschiedene Varianten der Befestigung des Siegel­ rahmens am Kühlrahmen.
Die Vorrichtung zum Versiegeln der Blisterverpackungen 1 weist in ihrer Siegelstation eine Aufnahme für die Blister­ hauben 3 auf, die in den Fig. 1 bis 3 als Siegelpalette 2 dargestellt ist und die auf einem Drehteller 4 sitzt. Es kann sich bei der Aufnahme aber genauso um linear bewegte Paletten handeln, die z. B. aus Blech mit einem Durchbruch bestehen. Eine höhenbewegliche Siegelelektrode 5 ist über der Siegelpalette 2 angeordnet. Sie sitzt an einer über Heizpatronen 6 erwärmbaren Heizplatte 7, die über einen höhenbeweglichen Obertisch 8 und einen nicht dargestellten Antrieb vertikal verschoben werden kann. An der Heizplatte 7 ist ein gefederter Kühlrahmen 9 angeordnet, gehalten über Bundschrauben 10, beaufschlagt mit Federn 11. Sein Durch­ bruch 12 ist um das Maß "A" größer als die Außenmaße der Siegelelektrode 5. Diesen Abstand überbrückt ein Siegelrah­ men 13 aus dünnem Metallblech, der am Kühlrahmen 9 befestigt ist und der über die Breite "A" und die Breite "B" der Sie­ gelnaht verläuft. Seine Befestigung kann über einen Halterah­ men 14, wie in den Fig. 1 bis 3 dargestellt, erfolgen. In diesem Fall ist der Siegelrahmen 13 abgekröpft ausgeführt. Eine Befestigung durch Kleben, über Senkschrauben oder Senkniete, ist möglich (in Fig. 4 angedeutet). Eine Ausbil­ dung des Siegelrahmens 13 als Winkelrahmen, der an der Innen­ seite des Durchbruches 12 befestigt ist, z. B. durch Kleben, ist ebenso möglich (Fig. 5).
Die Oberfläche des Kühlrahmens 13 kann vorzugsweise beschich­ tet sein, z. B. teflonisiert, damit sie eine Antihaftwirkung aufweist. Im Kühlrahmen 9 verlaufen Bohrungen 15 zur Durch­ leitung eines Kühlmediums.
Die Arbeitsweise der Vorrichtung ist wie folgt.
Nach dem Eintransport einer Siegelpalette 2 in die Siegelsta­ tion - Blisterhaube 3, Verpackungsgut 16 und Trägerfolie 17 sind eingelegt bzw. aufgelegt - wird der Obertisch 8 abge­ senkt. Der Siegelrahmen 13 liegt zuerst auf der Trägerfolie 17 auf, die Siegelelektrode 5 trifft nach entsprechendem Federweg des Kühlrahmens 9 auf den Siegelrahmen 13 auf. Da der Siegelrahmen 13 sehr dünn ist, erwärmt er sich über die Siegelelektrode sehr rasch und versiegelt die Blisterverpac­ kung 1. Nach einer eingestellten Siegelzeit fährt die Siegel­ elektrode 5 aufwärts, der Siegelrahmen 13 drückt weiterhin auf den Siegelrand der Blisterverpackung 1. In dieser Zeit kühlt der Siegelrahmen 13 rasch aus, da er vom Kühlrahmen 9 aus gekühlt wird und kühlt auf diese Weise den Siegelrand unter Einspannung ab. Je nach Antriebsart und geometrischen Abmessungen erfolgt bei abgehobener Siegelelektrode 5 ein Zwischenstop des Antriebes oder er fährt durch.

Claims (5)

1. Vorrichtung zum Versiegeln einer Blisterverpackung, beste­ hend aus einer Blisterhaube aus Kunststoff, dem Verpackungs­ gut und einer Trägerfolie aus Kunststoff, bei der das Versiegeln mit einer Siegelelektrode durch eine dünne Metallplatte hindurch im Zusammenwirken mit einer Gegenla­ ge erfolgt, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die dünne Metall­ platte in Form eines Siegelrahmens (13) an einem gekühl­ ten Kühlrahmen (9) angeordnet ist, der sich um die Siegel­ elektrode (5) herum erstreckt und zu ihr verschiebbar ausgebildet ist.
2. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die der Blisterverpackung (1) zugewandte Seite des Siegel­ rahmens (13) mit einer Antihaft-Beschichtung versehen ist.
3. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeich­ net, daß der Siegelrahmen (13) plan ausgebildet und durch Kleben, Schrauben oder Nieten mit dem Kühlrahmen (9) verbunden ist.
4. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeich­ net, daß der Siegelrahmen (13) abgekantet und an der Innenseite des Durchbruches (12) am Kühlrahmen (9) befe­ stigt ist.
5. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeich­ net, daß der Siegelrahmen (13) abgekröpft ausgebildet und mit einem Halterahmen (14) am Kühlrahmen (9) befestigt ist.
