Rauchgasvorwärmer und sonstige wasserführende Leitungen sind zum Schutz gegen überdruck mit Sicherheitsventilen versehen, um die Leitungen im gegebenen Falle zu entlasten. Hierbei überflutet das austretende Wasser den oberen Ventilteil, namentl-Icl# auch den Führungsbolzen zwischen Hebelarrn und Ventilteller, und nicht nur der im Wasser enthaltene Xesselstein, sondern auch der unvermeidliche, auf dem Ventil lagernde Staub inkrustieren den Führungsbolzen als auch alle anderen für die Beweglichkeit wichtigen Teile so sehr, daß diese Vorrichtungen nach kurzer Zeit ihren Zweck- nicht mehr erfüllen.
