Diese Kaminkühler, gleichgültig welcher Form und Bauart, haben bekanntlich den Übelstand, daß sie im Winter leicht einfrieren. Um dies zu verhüten, ist bereits ein Kaminkühler vorgeschlagen, bei dem der Kühlluft Abwärme aus dem Betriebe zugeleitet wird, indem die Abluft in der Nähe der Warmwasserzuführung in den Schacht eingeleitet wird, oder es ist vor den normalen Lufteinlaßöffnungen ein Luftkanal angeordnet, der mit abdeckbaren Austrittsschlitzen versehen ist. Der Kaltwasserabtluß erfolgt dadurch, daß in die Warmwasserrinnen Abflußrohre münden, welche nach außen führen, und sich das abfließende Kaltwasser mit dem Sammelwasser vereinigt. Die ständige Abführung von Wasser durch Heberohre ist zwar an sich bekannt, für derartige Warmwasserrinnen an Kaminkühlern ist sie aber neu und vorteilhaft, da die Warmwasserrinnen mit den Heberrohren zusammenwirken müssen, um ein Vereisen eines Kaminkühlers wirksamst zu hindern. In die Abzweigleitungen, die nach den Warmwasserrinnen führen, sind geeignete Drosselorgane geschaltet, um die Menge des Abzweigwassers regulieren zu können.
