Description
Einrichtung zum Einstellen von Wechselgetrieben mittels Fliehkraftreglers, insbesondere für Motorfahrzeuge. Bei den bekannten Getrieben mit Fliehkraftregler wird die Feder wie jede gewÖhnliche Regulatorfeder eingestellt. Jeder Federspannung entspricht bei einer bestimmten Tourenzahl ein gewisser Ausschlagbogen, so daß bei einer ganz bestimmten Tourenzahl des Motors die Auf- oder Abwärtsschaltung eingeleitet wird. Nun ist es eine bekannte Tatsache, daß der Motor den geringsten Brennstoffverbrauch dann hat, wenn er die wenigsten Touren macht. In der Stadt möchte man deshalb bei langsamer Wagengeschwindigkeit mit* abgedrosseltem Motor fahren, also mit geringer Motortourenzahl, und trotzdem die schnellste Übersetzung (4. Gang) anwenden. Auf der Landstraße dagegen soll eine hohe Tourenzahl des Motors angewendet werden, um die Höchstleistung herauszuholen, wobei die Wagengeschwindigkeit bei Steigungen geringer sein soll, was durch ein entsprechendes Abwärtsschalten des Getriebes erreicht wird. Während also in der Stadt oder auch bei Hindernissen auf der Landstraße (also nicht hervorgerufen durch den Widerstand des Wagens) das Abwärtsschalten im Getriebe bei einer sehr niedrigen Tourenzahl des Motors erfolgen soll, muß beim Überwinden von Widerständen, z. B. bei Bergfahrten oder sandigen Straßen, das Abwärtsschalten schon bei einer höheren Tourenzahl des Motors stattfinden, damit der Motor nicht an Leistung verliert. .Es ist also Bedingung, daß das Umschalten durch den Regulator bei ganz verschiedenen Tourenzahlen möglich ist. -Andernfalls würde ein selbsttätiges Getriebe praktisch wenig erfolgreich sein.Device for setting change gears by means of a centrifugal governor, especially for motor vehicles.
