Description

Es wurde gefunden, daß sich die komplexen Pihenolmercurichloride, -sulfate und andere Salze sowie auch die Phenolmercurioxyde mit sauren oder neutralen Sulfiten zu den entsprechenden Phenolmercurisulfiten umsetzen lassen. Die Phenolmercurisulfite sind farblose, in Wasser leicht lösliche kristallinische Pulver, «-elche durch konzentrierte Säure unter Absprengung von schwefliger Säure zersetzt werden. Beim Erhitzen bräunen sie sich unter Zersetzung. Einen scharfen Schmelzpunkt zeigen diese Verbindungen nicht. Durch Kohlensäure werden die Sulfitverbindungen nicht zersetzt. Diese Sulfitverbindungen waren bisher nicht bekannt, sie haben eine besondere Bedeutung, weil ihre Salze leicht in Wasser löslich sind und sich ohne Zersetzung durch Eindampfen gewinnen lassen.
