Description
Dauerkalender. Perpetual calendar. The invention relates to a DA.uerkalender that only requires little space and can be used for all years.
In such perpetual calendars, as is well known, the names of the months the days of the week and the data numbers consistently on discs or rings one above the other arranged, which are all or partially rotatable against each other. Be there often achieved special advantages through certain group arrangements, e. B. 'through Division of the data numbers or the month names into seven groups, oriented according to the days of the week. In the subject matter of the invention, the advantages that each of these divisions individually, united by evaluating the fact that the grouping of the months (according to the next days on which they begin) is the same in every year and only the beginning day of the months shifts evenly.
In the drawing, Fig. I shows an arrangement of the calendar in the form of a disk Fig.2 the development of an arrangement in a cylinder shape.
The perpetual calendar according to Fig. I is divided into seven sections Circle area corresponding to the seven days of the week on the inner, initially fixed imaginary disk a are drawn in. On the outer solid ring b are the Months drawn in in such a way that their first day is always the same as the days of the one in question Section corresponds, z. B. in the year 1.921 January and October begin with Monday, May with Tuesday, August with Wednesday etc. 'If you now turn the center ring c with the Data numbers in such a way that the units section d, highlighted by: hatching, opposed to the excerpt of a particular month, then give the day names the days of this month. E.g. on the drawing (fig. I) is the perpetual calendar set for January and October because the section d of the ring c is opposite the section e stands for January and October. It turns out that the 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th January and October Mondays are, the 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 3rd. Tuesdays etc. Because `the data numbers of ring c must go to 31, but none every month If 31 days are counted, the number of days is given for each month in order to avoid this to ease of mistakes.
It is also known that the calendar changes from one year to the next shifted forward by a day, in leap years even by two days. Z. B. began January 1922 with Sunday. January 1923 with Monday January 192.1 becomes m-it Start tuesday. 192: 1 is, however, a leap year, and that is why it comes to the end of February a further shift, so that the bIonate except January and February move two days forward compared to the previous year. On the calendar According to Fig. i, this shift is taken into account by the rotatability of the inner Disk c, namely when you turn the disk by one at the beginning of a new year. Section to the left, the Sequence of days of the week accordingly. In the case of leap years, turn a section to the left at the beginning of March. For a number of years this rotation of the disc, a by entering the for each section of the year in question. Instead of the disc To turn a to the left, you could also turn disk b to the right. The leaflets f are intended to hold while moving. -To make the calendar of this kind a little clearer to shape, you can choose the ring c so large that it covers the ring b. Just compared to the cutout one leaves free. Then only the months come out to which the calendar is set. You can also use a Cover the pane with the cutout and only let the year emerge, with that arises, counted by name -will. Through on this the cover disc c, place for instructions or for advertising.
Almost the same as the disc-shaped arrangement of the calendar is the cylindrical one, shown in the development in Fig. A. The strips g 1, i and h are intended to be wrapped around a cylinder and intended to be rotatable. The ring 1 with the data numbers can be rotated between the upper ring g with the month designations and the lower h with the day designations. The two first-mentioned rings can also be rotated against each other in order to make the day shift after a year has elapsed. to be able to. It is also possible to cover the names of the months here by turning the ring! makes it so wide that it also covers g and only leaves it free for a part of the month opposite the unit section. The year numbers can be covered in the same way.
