Pipe slide control for compressed air impact tools. Assumed known
in the present invention, the type of reversing during the stroke stroke.
It takes place by loading a special ring surface a of the pipe valve b (see Sect.
Fig. I and 2) with working air during the working stroke. This type of reversal,
caused by surface loading, is not dependent on the pressure drop in the working air
as with other controls that are also known. The inventive ideas should
in the following in connection with the control type »change of direction through wing loading«
discussed and the advantages and improvements achieved are listed.
a gewählt ist.
unterbringen lassen.
To hold the control member b in its end position during the piston return stroke
(see Fig. a) is one of the controls for compressed air hammer mechanisms presented here
constantly polluted with fresh air annular surface f provided, which in the lower parts of the
Control member is attached and its outer diameter is smaller than that of the reversing surface
a is selected. This appropriate roof-shaped gradation of the control member b results
in addition to a simple, easy-to-manufacture short pipe slide, an inexpensive valve housing lower part
g with ample wall thicknesses, which can be easily and harmful weakened
the necessary control channels and cutouts with plenty of favorable cross-sections
let accommodate. In the thin-walled valve housing upper part i with its large
Only the urn control channels u are drilled for the control surface a and also some
smaller ventilation holes k, which establish a connection with the outside air
need to accommodate.
n
In the control member b a shell l is also provided between the two control surfaces a and f , which once the exhaust under the piston during the working stroke (see Fig. I) through the channels m, L and n and then the exhaust above the piston through the channels c, l and n at the end of the working stroke (shortly before and during the piston reversal) and for most of the piston return stroke (see Fig. 2) also through the channels c, l and iz controls or connection between the inside of the cylinder and the atmospheric air. In addition, it should be mentioned that in addition to the shell l , an exhaust can also be made through the exhaust holes d in the lower valve housing g, which are controlled by the end edge of the control member. However, the exhaust holes d are not directly necessary for a perfect effect and can therefore be omitted.
For Figs. I and 2, which show a section through the working cylinder v and the control housing g, i, the mode of operation is as follows: Fig. I. The piston r moves in the direction of the arrow, the pipe slide b is in the end position; it is held in this position by the pressure on the surface e, minus the annular surface f l, so there is a working stroke. The compressed air passes in the direction of the arrow through the bores h over the piston r and moves it in the direction of the arrow in the cylinder. Furthermore, the annular surface f is constantly loaded with fresh air through the channels t. Under the piston, the air is directed or pushed into the open air through channels n2, mussel l and channels n. If the upper end edge of the piston r releases the reversing channel u, the ring surface a is loaded so that the tubular slide b is brought to slide in the opposite direction of movement to the piston. Shortly before the piston r hits the tool shaft s, the pipe slide b has completely reversed and has thus reached the position shown in Fig. A; the fresh air channels h are closed, the channels d released and connect the inside of the cylinder with the outside air through the channels n; In addition, the working air can get into the open air through channels c, shell l and channels n.
Fig. A shows the return stroke of the working piston r. The pipe slide b is held in its upper end position by the constant loading holes t. Fresh air passes through the channels t, o under the piston r and throws it back. The air above the piston r can pass through the reversing channels u, vent holes k and through channels n to the outside, also through channels c, shell l and. Channels n and through channels d and n. If the piston r also covers the last channels d during its return movement, @so the compression of the air above the piston begins, whereby the piston r is brought to rest, and furthermore the ring surface receives e- minus f # of the pipe slide now compression pressure, so that a change of direction occurs. The control process can now be repeated.
