Description
The invention relates to a copying process for producing cinematographic Image strips with distorted partial images. The invention is shown schematically through Figs. 1 to 8.
Abb. Fig. Ι shows a side view of an anoid in which a normally exposed and developed negative film 1 and a still unexposed positive film 2 are guided past a stationary slit diaphragm 4 around the rollers 3, which is provided with a narrow horizontal slit. L means a suitable light source. In Fig. 2, 1 represents the negative film and 2 the positive film. The partial images a v b x , C 1 , (I 1 of the negative film are covered with equidistant horizontal parallels to illustrate the process Movement while the negative film moves uniformly, or vice versa, but in such a way that when moving through one frame height the mean speed of the non-uniformly moving film is equal to the speed of the uniformly moving film, one obtains as copies of the partial images O 1 , O 1 , C 1 , (I 1 of Fig. 2 on the positive 2 the partial images a 2 , b 2 , C 2 , d 2 , depending on the type of non-uniform movement in which the parallels with the same distance in the negative have changed their spacing. As can be easily seen, it is possible in this way to produce any desired displacement of the horizontal image lines on the copy.
If you want to move positive and negative film at a uniform speed, then one must modify the procedure as shown in Fig. 3 in the side view. Here are the two films 1 and 2 running over the rollers 3 by four times the amount of the focal length of the lens 6 away from each other. The lens can be moved up and down arranged, whereby apparently the effects described above can also be achieved.
Will man "eine Parallelverschiebung derIf you want "a parallel shift of the
Abb. S zeigt die Verschluß- : scheibe in der Draufsicht.cause vertical picture lines, so serve ! to a device shown schematically by Fig. 4 in side elevation and Fig. 6 in plan view. The negative film 1 and the positive film 2 run over the rollers 3. In between there is the lens 6, which moves in the direction of the solid arrows; Hch is arranged. 7 is a rotating encryption 'path disk with, for example, three arcuate fine perforations, as they chromatography by the inventor for other purposes of the kinetically i already in use. The same can be replaced by a disk with radial openings or a metal band with equally spaced slots, as they have also already been proposed for other cinematographic purposes. 8 is a <matching aperture. Fig. S shows the closure: disk in plan view.
] ao is allowed to now the closure disc to rotate \ uniformly, while both the j negative and the positive film batchwise] are switched and the lens a reciprocating movement in the direction of the arrow. tung Fig 6 executes is obtained from the partial images A LT b x of the negative film 1 of Fig. 7 on the positive film 2, the sub-images A 3, b 2, depending on the movement of objectivity (tivs. Again, each warp pattern may be apparently achieved.]
A third group of distortions results if the device just described is modified in such a way that only the negative film is switched intermittently, while! rend the positive film 2 moves uniformly. When the lens is stationary, | on the positive film 2 from the field ^ 1 ; of negative 1, partial image e 2 of Fig. 8. It is recommended here to give the aperture section the shape of an oval, which is tangential through the: upper and lower image lines, the lateral lines of the image and the lines m, ti and ο, ρ j is limited. The image on the positive film then also becomes an oval with the horizontal tangents m 2 , ti 2 and O 2 , p 2 , which appear as new image lines. If the lens is now allowed to move back and forth in the direction of the arrows drawn in Fig. 6, you get image a 2 from O 1 in Fig. 8 .
If, on the other hand, the lens moves back and forth in the direction of the dotted arrows in Fig. 4, then from / x in Fig. 8 you get the wavy, obliquely distorted image / 2 .
Finally, the lens can be both reciprocated in a horizontal direction as well as in the vertical direction and then receives a wave-like shape on the negative film Slanted partial image with displaced vertical image lines.
The common feature of the described facilities is that copying through a fine gap, which, by the way, does not necessarily have to be a straight line and during the same the image of the respective released image line on the to exposing positive film moves out of its normal position.
The process identified in this way allows the number of patterns according to which the Distortions are supposed to take place, to allow them to grow indefinitely.
Finally, it should be noted that the identified process can also be used for production of distorted photographic frames using glass or film negatives.
