Abstract
Description
The invention relates to light weight separators, which according to Gravity principle work. The intended ones Calming tanks are located in the lower inlet essentially horizontal to the opposite lower spout flows through. Coalescence inserts have been known recently become (DE-GM 85 35 037), with which the separation effect Finely dispersed light liquids through aggregation is improved. The coalescence inserts consist of a Fine mesh structure, an open-cell foam plastic or a random fiber fleece.
The known coalescence inserts are across the Flow cross-section used flat structures, thus also act as a flow straightener for the inlet. In the inflow area of the separator tank, however, are not used Flow zones that worsen the separation result.
The The task of making better use of these areas for the separation, is now solved according to the invention in that the Coalescence insert as a radial flow from the inside to the outside is arranged vertically axially arranged hollow body. This Hollow bodies distribute the incoming wastewater evenly into all Directions. The flow rate is hereby in many Areas of the separating tank reduced again. The Coalescence use is also applied more evenly. Since the inflow direction is ascending within the hollow body, the floating processes of the light-weight particles are already there supported.
To the flow cross-section of the separation tank as possible It is preferably suggested to make full use of at least to provide two hollow bodies that are symmetrical to the central inlet arranged and attached to a lower distribution valve. It it is also conceivable to schedule four hollow bodies that are arranged symmetrically around the central distribution fitting.
Further, in particular design features of the invention are based the dependent claims and the following description of a preferred embodiment.
The separating container 1 shown in longitudinal section in FIG. 1 and in plan view in FIG. 2 contains the inlet 2 on one narrow side and the outlet 3 near the bottom on the opposite narrow side. A downpipe 4 is connected to the inlet 2 and opens centrally below into a distribution fitting 5 near the bottom. This distribution fitting 5 , which is screwed to the bottom of the container, has a total of four outlet openings 6 , to each of which a stable cage 7 is attached. Coalescence hollow bodies 8 in cylindrical form are placed over these cages. For better guidance and sealing, a conical ring 9 is attached to the lower end of each cage, by means of which a correspondingly internally conical ring of the coalescence hollow body grips. The hollow bodies are secured against floating by a holding bracket (not shown).
A knee tube 10 is connected to the inside of the outlet opening 2 , and a flange 11 for attaching the cage 12 for guiding the float closure 13 is attached to the upward-facing inlet opening. The coalescence hollow body 14 , which is flowed through from the outside inwards, is placed on the outside of the cage 12 . The light liquid particles coaled in the hollow body can rise to the surface of the liquid outside the hollow body. The hollow body 14 can be removed just like the inlet-side set through appropriate maintenance openings 15 , 16 for cleaning.
A modification of the embodiment shown can consist in the inlet pipe and the distributor valve to a uniform Summarize component that is inserted from above and then only needs to be pushed into the inlet opening. The Manifold fitting can be designed without a bottom, but must then be sealed against the bottom of the container. Such a design would have the advantage that the accumulating valve Sludge can be removed during a thorough cleaning of the separator can.
