Abstract

Connector for an endotraceal tube has an integrated entry lead (9). The entry least (9) has an injection hose (11) at the distal end of the tube, so that medicaments may be introduced during uninterrupted respiration. The injection hose (11) is formed for accurate positioning of the injection position, pref. by having positioning marks on it. USE/ADVANTAGE - For endobronchial application of medicaments, eg adrenalin, lidocaine or atropine, during forced respiration, resuscitation etc., without interrupting the respiration. The continued respiration also ensures that the medicament enters the airway. (3pp Dwg.No.1/1)

Description

The invention relates to a connection device for a Endotracheal tube with integrated lead according to the generic term of Claim 1. This is a Injection hose to the proximal end of the tube endobronchial application of drugs.

During resuscitation and ventilation through a tracheal tube endotracheal application may be required of drugs, such as adrenaline, lidocaine or Atropine, must be made. This endobronchial Drug application was already in the recommendations in 1974 accepted by the American Heart Association and through numerous Publications underpinned (Schmidt et al., Emergency Medicine 14, 673-677, 1988; Bartsch et al., Der Notarzt 5, 197-199, 1989). Nevertheless, there are only application systems whose Effects are assessed quite differently. they all allow emergency medication only if the resuscitation measure, especially ventilation, is interrupted. Another disadvantage is that Interrupted breathing is a nebulizing effect for the drug cannot be used as it is with simultaneous ventilation takes place.

Connection devices are, for example, from the prior art of the type mentioned for oesophageal probes known (US-47 6 615). In DE-G-88 12 842 is a suction catheter for insertion into the trachea described, which is a further feed line for rinsing solutions or May contain medication. From US-47 39 756 and DE-A-36 19 692 are tubes with another lumen for medication described. The latter require that they work for a Emergency situation actually used predictively have been. When using a conventional endotracheal tube medication is not easily possible.

The object of the invention was therefore to provide a connection device of the type mentioned for Tracheal tube to provide an endobronchial  Drug application without interruption via ventilation enables.

This object is achieved by the connection device according to the invention solved according to the patent claim.

Der Unteranspruch gibt eine besondere Ausführungsart der Erfindung an.The sub-claim specifies a particular embodiment of the invention.

Durch am Injektionsschlauch (11) angebrachte Marken (13) wird eine genaue Plazierung und Anpassung der Injektionsstelle entsprechend der Tubuslänge ermöglicht.FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of a connecting piece ( 14 ) designed according to the invention for a tube ( 1 ) in longitudinal section. A feed line ( 9 ) with adapter ( 10 ) is integrated into the connection piece which can be placed on the tube ( 1 ) at the proximal end, through which the injection tube ( 11 ) with adapter ( 12 ) to the distal end of the tube is passed through the lumen ( 2 ) of the tube Tube is guided. Marks ( 13 ) attached to the injection hose ( 11 ) enable the injection site to be positioned and adjusted precisely in accordance with the length of the tube.

The object of the invention can be used with particular preference in children's tubes, since in these the wall of the tube is very thin in relation to the lumen ( 2 ).

Crit. Care Med 16, 389, 1988).The connector according to the invention enables the endobronchial Drug application directly on the distal end of the tube without Interruption of ventilation, which, due to the low Lumen of the injection hose and that by simultaneous ventilation nebulizing effect 95% of the administered Amount of drug to take effect. The one at a dosage of the drug directly into the tube under temporary Drug application has been switched off on the other hand only a very small and also not calculable Use of the drug used resulted (Quinton et al., Lancet I, 828-829, 1987; Orlowski et al., Abstract. Crit.

In addition to the active ingredients already mentioned, the Embodiment according to the invention also the administration further endobronchial medicinal products for their Application otherwise a different access, e.g. B. by a Venous catheter, which must be created, especially in one Emergency use requires time-consuming additional measures.

For better differentiation of the individual supply lines these are appropriately marked in color or otherwise marked or with non-confusable different adapters. Are preferred Embodiments with commercially available Luer adapters and colored markings.
