Sarg. Särge, die an den Ecken des Sargunterteiles mit Winkeieisen
versehen sind, sind durch das Hauptpatent 353079 bekannt geworden. Die Schenkel
dieser Winkeleisen überragen den Rand des Untersarges so weit, daß diese Eisen auch
die Ecken des Oberteils zusammenhalten, wenn der Oberteil auf den Unterteil aufgesetzt
ist. Diese Anordnung hat insofern einen Nachteil, als die an einigen Orten übliche
Sitte nicht in Anwendung gebracht werden kann, gemäß der man das über die Leiche
gedeckte Tuch aus dem Sarge heraushängen läßt. Diese Tücher, die mit Spitzen und
Stickereien versehen sind, sollen eine geschmackvolle Dekoration des Sarges darstellen.
Werden nun Särge mit solchen Versteifungsecken in die sich der Oberteil' hinainsetzt,
benutzt, so wird dasTuch an den Oberkanten des Unterteiles durch den Oberteil in
die Ecken der Versteifungswinkel hineingedrückt, bildet dabei stets unschöne Falten,
und außerdem wird bei jedem Versuch, die Falten gerade zu ziehen, das Tuch in der
Regel zarrissem.
Um die Verwendung solcher Dekorationstücher gleichzeitig
mit der Verwendung der Versteifungsecken zu ermöglichen, ist gemäß der Erfindung
das Winkeleisen, welches gleichzeitig die Ecken des Ober- und Unterteiles versteifen
soll; nicht mehr am Unterteil, sondern am Oberteil angeordnet. Durch diese einfache
Umkehrung wird das aus dem Sarg heraushängende Tuch beim Aufsetzen des Oberteiles
auf den Unterteil nicht mehr verzogen, sondern hängt in den ihm vorher gegebenen
schönen Falten nieder. Auch lassen sich hier die Falten noch ordnen, wenn der Oberteil
schon aufgesetzt ist, ohne daß dabei das Tuch beschädigt wird.Coffin. Coffins, which are provided with angle iron at the corners of the coffin base, are known from the main patent 353079 .
