Eine Knopflochscheere, welche ihrem Zweck und ihrer Bezeichnung voll genügte, existirt bis heute nicht. Zur Herstellung der Knopflöcher in schwerere Tuche und Leder reicht die bekannte Knopflochscheere nicht aus, da letztere nur einen Schlitz schneidet, bei schweren Tuchen und Leder aber ein grölseres Auge mit Schlitz das Knopfloch darstellt.
