Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 20. Juli 1923 ab.Drill chuck.
Patented in the German Empire on July 20, 1923.
Get hold of of tools with several inventurgs, this disadvantage is eliminated by radially displaceable jaws in conical j, that between the jaws and the Guide. Such chucks often do not tighten the chuck's tendon with pressure and guidance centric, because the jaws are inserted in the absence of a guide piece that the jaws
Ein so ausgebildetes Futter spannt genau zentrisch.leads radially, secures against rotation about its axis and also ensures that the angular distance is retained between the jaws. A chuck designed in this way clamps exactly centrically.
Es ist:The jaws are connected to the guide piece by means of radial guides, z. Fig. 4 a is a plan view of the guide ring, Fig. 5 is a view of the jaws and Fig. 6 is a plan view of Fig. 5. The main body 1 of the drill chuck has a conical recess 2 into which! the work spindle of the machine is inserted j. The other end of this body 1 is also provided with a conical recess 3 ■ which serves to receive the jaws 4, which are designed in three parts in a manner known per se. The jaws 4 are ■ of conical design corresponding to the tapered recess 3 and each have a lug or strip 5 on to the larger-'cross-sectional area. They are pressed apart by springs 6 in a known manner. The body 1 has an external thread 7 for receiving a clamping nut 8; which has a bottom 9 with a bore 10 for i the passage of the tool. A guide ring 10 rests on the bottom 9 and, according to the invention, has three grooves 11 on its surface facing the jaws 4. In the latter, the bars or lugs 5 j of the jaws 4 is inserted, whereby a DRI \ hung this prevents about its own axis; will. The lower surface of the guide ring 10! has recesses 12 for receiving j balls 13, so that this guide ring also acts as a ball thrust bearing. Near the upper end, a recess for receiving a split ring 14 is provided in the clamping nut 8, whereby the clamping nut 8 cannot be easily removed from the body 1 and thus prevents the jaws from falling out. The upper end of the body 1 is reduced in diameter at 15.
When manufacturing the new drill chuck, the conical one for holding the jaws 4 Serving recess 3 turned out, whereupon the body hardened and then the conical Surface is sanded. The jaws 4 are then inserted into the recess 3. The guide ring 10 is then placed on the lower surface of the jaws 4 in such a way that that the strips 5 of these jaws come to rest in the recesses 11 of the ring 10. The whole is finally held by tightening the clamping nut 8, the bottom 9 of which is supported against the balls 13 and thereby the guide ring 10 against the jaws 4 and this in turn pushes into the recess 3. The shifting of the clamping nut 8 downwards is through the contact of the ring 14 with the first thread of the Body 1 limited, and if the clamping nut 8 is to be removed completely, it must first be screwed against the work spindle until the ring 14 opposite the part of the body 1 which is offset in diameter at 15, whereupon this ring by inserting a suitable tool into a slot provided for this purpose Clamping nut 8 can be lifted out.
If desired, a shoulder can be provided on the outside of the guide ring 10, which engages in a corresponding recess of the drill chuck to the ring against the To secure rotation, but this training is not absolutely necessary because the The balls only allow a low torque.
