Herstellung von Natriumnitrit. V urliegende Erfindung betrifft die Herstellung von Natriumnitxit aus Soda und nitrosen Gasen, welche bei der Oxydation von Ammoniak mit Sauerstoff erhalten werden. Bekanntlich wurde bisher - das Aminoniakgas mit einem Lberschuß von Sauerstoff bzw. Luft verbrannt. Nach diesem bekannten Verfahren erhält man verdünnte Stickoxydgase und muß die Absorption in großen Rieseltürinen mit wäßriger Sololösung v orgenoniinen werden, um Natriumnitrit zu erhalten. Hierbei wird praktisch eine Nitritlösung von höchstens ¢o Prozent Salzgehalt erhalten. Zur Gewinnung von festem N itritsalz inuß also pro Kilogramm Nitrit il/.. kg Wasser verdampft werden. Auch hat man bereits vorgeschlagen, das Gemisch von Ammoniak finit einem Überschuß von Sauerstoff bzw. Luft bei Temperaturen von etwa 6oo bis 750° zu verbrennen und das so gebildete Gas finit alkalischen Absorptionsmitteln zu neutralisieren. Es ist nur dann möglich, nach diesem Verfahren Nitrite zu erhalten, wenn die Absorption der erhaltenen nitrosen Gase so schnell erfolgt bzw. bei so hoher Temperatur, <laß die Oxydation des zunächst gebildeten NO zii N02 nicht quantitativ erfolgen kann.Production of sodium nitrite.
