Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a powdered cleaning agent tel for textile surfaces, in particular textile floor coverings containing a carrier material mixed with water, a cleaning-active substance, possibly a solution medium and optionally other additives.
Such cleaning agents are already in different Developments become known. The state of the art for example, reference is made to DE-PS 27 32 011.
In the known cleaning agents are as carrier mate various organic and inorganic materials Substances have been proposed. For example sawdust, ground cork, diatomaceous earth, etc. Significant importance So far, however, have been used as carrier materials for the use of such cleaning agents in Household area only urea-formaldehyde foams and Obtained cellulose powder. The use of the latter Fabrics are out for various reasons of criticism puts. Regarding the formaldehyde foams, a possible harmful effects of formaldehyde referred. For cleaning agents with a carrier material based on cellulose powder is a high proportion bleached, native cellulose of perennial plants needed each time. The production of the cellulose powder is also very wastewater intensive and despite Introduction of new digestion processes for the extraction of Cellulose is very polluting. A reduction in Cellulose content in known powder cleaning but leads to products that when incorporated into for example "spatula" a carpet, clearly are worse to clean, difficult to vacuum and long Require dry periods. The products are then too no longer "flowable".
Based on the state of the art described above the invention has the task of a powder specify cleaning agents for textile surfaces, which is the raw material with the highest possible cleaning performance is economical and at the same time without or with only a small amount Percentage of health or environmentally unacceptable classified substances.
This object is in the specified in claim 1 Invention solved.
Die Unteransprüche stellen vorteilhafte Weiterbildungen dar.The subclaims represent advantageous developments represents.
According to the invention, it is provided that, in the dry state, highly absorbent, subsequently swollen polymer particles - so-called superabsorbers - are used as the carrier material, together with organic fiber particles, which fiber particles are attached to the surface of the polymer particles. The highly absorbent, swollen polymer particles create the necessary volume and surface area thanks to a high proportion of water bound in the polymer particles. As a result, the consumption of valuable raw materials, namely bleached cellulose in particular, can be greatly restricted. The backing material or the absorbent material is fully available to the carpet surface. It tends to agglomerate so that it does not "silt up" in the carpet. The organic fiber particles are deposited on the surface of the swollen polymer particles. They are therefore very well distributed and only a small amount of organic fiber particles is required. Another major advantage is the fact that very variable formulations of the cleaning agent are possible. For example, the cleaning agent can be set to "wet" or "dry" in a simple manner, as will be explained in more detail below. In a further embodiment it is provided that the poly mer particles consist of a polyacrylate. Such a polyacrylate is known in particular under the trade name "Favor", sold by Stockhausen, Krefeld. A crosslinked polyacrylic acid, which is present in part as a sodium salt, is particularly preferred. Such highly absorbent polymers, as also described in the reference "general nonwoven Re port 4-1984, pages 178 to 182", can absorb several times their own weight in aqueous liquids. This forms a gel, the nature of which can vary. Such highly absorbent polymers do not release the aqueous liquid, ie generally ordinary water which they have taken up, or only to a relatively small extent even under pressure. In the context of the invention it is preferred that the gel has the nature of a granular mass (caviar structure). Here are formed by very small polymer particles of spherical structure, with a diameter of about 10 to 1000 microns in the swollen state. This results in a very large surface area. The organic fibers can have a diameter of 5 to 30 μm and a length of 50 to 400 μm. These are preferably cellulose fibers.
In manufacturing, the procedure is such that the powder from sodium polyacrylate (or from the mentioned polyacrylic acid) is mixed with water until it is saturated. The polyacrylate swells and develops mentioned caviar structure. One gram of polyacrylate can be one Take up many times its weight in water for example up to 100 g. The bottom gives even under pressure Lyacrylate absorbed water no longer. By a Add more water from the polyacrylate is no longer recorded, the setting "wet" be made. The swollen polyacrylate will then mixed with the cellulose fibers that are in the essentially on the surface of the polyacrylate particles attach. Then the powder obtained in this way is also included the necessary detergent substance, usually one aqueous surfactant solution. Beyond that optionally added and given a solvent if other additives such as fragrances.
