dann gewöhnlich am Rande gestopft, was keinen bleibenden Erfolg hat, oder er wird
mit einer Litze eingefaBt, die aber unschön wirkt und den Eindruck des Teppichs

Gegenstand der Erfindung ist nun eine Einfasseng, die einerseits den

Anblick gewährt, so daß die Randeinfassung mit dem Teppich ein Ganzes zu bilden
scheint. Das wesentliche der Erfindung besteht darin, daß auf -das Band in der Längsrichtung
entweder an dem einen Rand oder in der Mitte ein teppichartiger Streifen eingewebt
oder aufgenäht ist, bei dem der Flor entweder senkrecht oder schiefwinklig zum Bandgewebe

Falls der Teppich neu oder am Rande nur wenig beschädigt ist, wendet
man ein Band nach Abb. i an. Das Band a wird neben den Teppich c gelegt, so daß
der teppichartige Flor b nach oben sieht. Der Teil des Bandes, der nicht mit Flor
versehen ist, wird unter den Teppich geschoben und festgenäht. Ist der Teppich stärker
beschädigt, so wird die Kante des Teppichs mit einem Band gemäß Abb.2 und 3 eingefaßt.
Das Band wird mit der Rückseite nach oben, mit dem ungemusterten Teil unter den
Teppich geschoben. Die andere Längsseite des Bandes, welche den Flor trägt, wird
nach oben umgebogen und auf den Teppich gelegt. Schließlich wird das Band festgenäht,
so daß es die beschädigte Kante des Teppichs einfaßt.If the carpet is new or only marginally damaged, turn it over

durchtritt. Diese Herstellungsart kann natürlich auch bei den schmäleren Bändern
