Abstract
The invention relates to a measuring arrangement and a method for measuring the solid mass flow of gas-solid mixtures flowing in technological reaction spaces. It is the object of the invention that the mass flow be determined irrespective of the flow form of the gas-solid mixture, in order to ensure accurate control and reliable monitoring of the mass flow matched to the processing method. The object of the invention consists in eliminating the measuring problems resulting from the separation (segregation) processes in the mass flow measurement of the solid phase of gas-solid flows. According to the invention, the object is achieved in that the sensors and detectors are arranged on the delivery pipe, using the results of separation experiments, in such a way as is necessary on the basis of the separation and that significant density measured values, velocity measured values and flow cross-sections are obtained for calculating the mass flow. According to the invention, the density and concentration measured values are determined at time intervals which are significantly smaller than the propagation time of a closed plug of solid of a plug flow past a sensor. <IMAGE>
