Abstract
A gas burner has at least one burner rod (6), the wall of which is passed through on the upper side by outlet openings (2) for a gas mixture consisting of combustion gas and primary air. The region situated above these mixture outlet openings (2) is assigned guides (5), via which a mixture consisting of gas and secondary air or pure gas is supplied to the flames being formed above the outlet openings (2). The guides (5) can be formed by the outlet openings (8) of mixture or gas distributors (7) which run parallel next to the burner rod (6). Such distributors (7) can be interconnected by connection pipes (9) which run transversely to the axis of the burner rod (6) and which have outlet openings for the gas/secondary air mixture. Such a distributor (7) can also, however, partially enclose the burner rod (6), leaving the top region (12) with the mixture outlet openings (2) free and forming at the two boundaries of this top region outlet openings for the gas/secondary air mixture or other gases such as e.g. recycled smoke gas. <IMAGE>
