KLASSE 89: Zucker- und Stärkefabrikation.CLASS 89: Sugar and starch production.
Patentirt im Deutschen Reiche vom 30. März 1886 ab.Patented in the German Empire on March 30, 1886.
Das vorliegende Verfahren beruht auf den beiden Thatsachen, dafs:The present proceedings are based on the two facts that:
The molasses and sugar syrups in concentrated form Methyl alcohol or wood spirit are completely soluble, and that
. .2. From this solution alcohol and oxalic acid form the salts of molasses as oxalic acid salts excrete alongside the sugar and the organic acids and nitrogenous constituents leave in solution. . .
Das auf diesen beiden Thatsachen beruhende Verfahren besteht im wesentlichen in Folgendem :The procedure based on these two facts consists essentially in the following :
The molasses or sugar syrups used for desugarization are mixed with methyl alcohol or mixed with a mixture of methyl alcohol and ethyl alcohol in such a ratio, that the molasses dissolve in the additive and in the later operations not excreted again as molasses. For this purpose, for example, for 50 kg of molasses from a polarization of approx. 50 pCt. 0.04 hl methyl alcohol is enough. The thus obtained Complete dissolution of the molasses is mixed with oxalic acid dissolved in alcohol and then an excess of ethyl alcohol is added. The quantity of the to be added Oxalic acid depends on the quantity of salts contained in the molasses. The oxalic acid compounds that are formed separate out as a precipitate while the sugar with the addition of the excess ethyl alcohol is more insoluble in the latter Precipitation arrives with the deposition. It can also have the addition of oxalic acid the larger amount of ethyl alcohol take place at the same time, in which case the salts and the sugars are excreted side by side. The received and from the liquid squeezed precipitate is dissolved in water and obtained by a renewed Addition of alcohol to the oxalic salts alone as a precipitate, while the existing Sugar remains in solution. Any in this Sugar solution Any traces of oxalic acid that are still present are precipitated by means of lime. the The alcohol and the sugar are obtained in a known way.
Aufserdem besitzen die dabei als oxalsäure Salze abfallenden Nebenproducte als in derThe main advantage of the process described is its great simplicity of the operations involved in this essentially also in the fact that the use of the solvent (des Methyl alcohol) in concentrated form leads to a loss of sugar, which is caused by the dissolution of Molasses formed in water or in diluted alcohol would be avoided and out A sugar juice with a purity quotient of over 99 ° was obtained from the alkaline solutions obtained so that the yield obtained from the molasses is over 80 pCt. the in the same contained pure sugar. They also have it as oxalic acid Salts falling off by-products than in the
