Description
Die zur Zeit verwendeten Strahlungsheizkörper bestehen im allgemeinen aus einem Blechreflektor, in wsJchem der Heizkörper unbeweglich gelagert ist. Derartige Heizkörper senden ihre Wärmestrahlen mehr oder weniger in eine bestimmte Richtung, ohne daß es möglich ist, die Richtung und die Intensität der Strahlung in bestimmter Weise zu ändern. Die Erfindung bietet ein Mittel zu derartigen ίο Regelungen. Sie kennzeichnet sich dadurch, daß das Heizelement beweglich in einen Spiegelreflektor gelagert ist, und somit der thermische Schwerpunkt des Heizelements in verschiedene Lagen zum Brennpunkt des Hohlspiegeis gebracht werden kann. Hierdurch wird ermöglicht, die von dem Hohlspiegel ausgehenden reflektierenden Wärmestrahlen nach Belieben zu konzentrieren und zu streuen. Abb. ι zeigt als Beispiel einen Hohlspiegel a, dessen Spiegelkurve elliptischen Grundcharakter aufweist. Die von dem Heizkörper b ausgehenden Wärmestrahlen werden von den einzelnen Punkten der Spiegelwandung c, d, e, f so reflektiert, daß sie sich in dem Schnittes pnnkt I kurz vor der Spiegelebene schneiden und von hier aus mit großem Streuungswinkel divergieren.The radiant heaters currently used generally consist of a sheet metal reflector in which the heater is immovably mounted.
