Description

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Verbindung eines mit einer Kontaktfläche versehenen Kunststoffgegenstandes mit einem unbeschichteten Holzgegenstand nach dem Oberbe­ griff des Anspruchs 1, wie es im Hause der Anmelderin an­ gewandt und damit als bekannt unterstellt wird.
Kunststoffgegenstände werden beispielsweise im Automobil­ bau vielfach mit Holzgegenständen verbunden. Meist werden dabei die Gegenstände miteinander verklebt, geklammert oder verschraubt. Diese Verbindungsarten werden überwie­ gend manuell ausgeführt und ferner ist jeweils mindestens ein Zusatzwerkstoff - nämlich Kleber, Klammern oder Schrau­ ben - erforderlich. Beides ist sehr kostenintensiv, und eine gleichbleibende, reproduzierbare Qualität ist nicht immer gewährleistet.
Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde ein Verfahren zur Verbindung von Kunststoffgegenständen mit Holzgegenständen zu entwickeln, das rationell ist, eine gute Haltbarkeit der Verbindung gewährleistet und keinen Zusatzwerkstoff anwendet.
Die Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß mit dem kennzeichnenden Merkmal des Anspruch 1 gelöst.
Der oberflächennah erhitzte Werkstoff des Kunststoffge­ genstandes fließt nach dem Aufsetzen auf das Holz aufgrund seiner Viskosität in die Poren des unbeschichteten Holz­ gegenstandes ein, erkaltet in den Poren und bildet eine sehr stabile Verbindung. Die zuzuführende Wärme für die oberflächennahe Erhitzung des Kunststoffgegenstandes wird dabei mittels Vibrationsreibung unter Druck zwischen dem Kunststoff- und dem Holzgegenstand erzeugt. Damit entfallen die Kosten und der Zeitaufwand für die Zusatzwerkstoffe, und durch die Automatisierbarkeit des Verfahrens kann es besonders rationell ausgeübt werden. Im übrigen ist ein Ausführungsbeispiel in der Zeichnung dargestellt und wird im folgenden erläutert.
Die einzige Zeichnung ist eine schematische Darstellung des Verfahrens. Zwischen der oberen Maschinenplatte 6 und der unteren Maschinenplatte 1, die beide gleichzeitig als druckerzeugendes Element vorgesehen sind, ist das Unter­ werkzeug 2 und das Oberwerkzeug 5 angebracht. In dem Un­ terwerkzeug 2 ist dabei der Holzgegenstand 3 und im Ober­ werkzeug 5 der Kunststoffgegenstand 4 gehaltert. Die bei­ den Maschinenplatten 1, 6 werden nun unter einem definier­ ten Druck zusammengepreßt, während eine oder beide Maschinenplatten 1, 6 Vibrationsbewegungen in einer zu der Kontaktfläche 7 zwischen dem Holzgegenstand 3 und dem Kunst­ stoffgegenstand 4 parallelen Ebene ausführen. Durch die Reibung an der Kontaktfläche 7 erhitzt sich der kontakt­ flächennah gelegene Kunststoff und erweicht, wobei er in die Poren des Holzgegenstandes 3 teilweise bis vollständig einfließt. Ist der Kunststoffgegenstand 4 bezüglich des Holzgegenstandes 3 an der richtigen Position, wird die Vibrationsbewegung abgestellt. Der Kunststoff in der Umge­ bung der Kontaktfläche 7 erstarrt und bildet so eine stabi­ le Verbindung.

Claims (3)

1. Verfahren zur Herstellung einer Verbindung eines mit einer Kontaktfläche versehenen Kunststoffgegenstandes mit einem unbeschichteten Holzgegenstand unter Verwendung ei­ nes Werkstoffes, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Kontaktfläche des Kunststoffgegenstandes durch Vibrationsreibung unter Druck zwischen dem Kunststoff- und Holzgegenstand im Bereich der Verbindungsstelle oberflächen­ nah erhitzt und unter Ausnützung dieses erhitzten Werkstof­ fes als verbindenden Werkstoff an den Holzgegenstand ange­ preßt wird.
2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Schmelzviskosität des Kunststoffes kleiner 5 × 103 Pa · s bei einer Schergeschwindigkeit von ungefähr (γ)=103 s-1 ist.
3. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Kunststoffgegenstand im wesentlichen aus Polycar­ bonat und/oder Polyamid und/oder Acryl-Butadien-Styrol und/oder Polyoxymethylen besteht.
