Description
Method of filling sludge. The invention is based on a method and devices for conveying masses of sludge-like nature, Ga1-lerten, chemical precipitates and the like. That from intimate mechanical mixtures consist of finely ground solids and a liquid. Such mixtures are due to their physical state of a sticky plasticity or adhesiveness very difficult to deal with. They are not flowable and can hardly be shoveled or with conveyors and cannot be pumped. D. H. so, since they are in a state between the liquid and solid state, they can neither with the usual for liquid cups nor with the ones used for solid masses Funds are treated. . It is known that the leakage of difficult substances, like fine or semi-sticky powder, from vessels by shaking the vessel or its content is promoted. The invention is based on the discovery that the substances of the aforementioned kind in their behavior when flowing out on vibrations address, which communicated to them in a suitable manner and through suitable devices will. It should be noted, however, that by no means all plastic materials are suitable for this Vibration treatment are suitable, rather there are only those that are at least contain a certain percentage of substances of crystalline structure, too if this is only of microscopic dimensions, as opposed to the real ones amorphous substances. Substances that are suitable for vibration treatment Scary contain not less than 60 parts by weight of crystalline solids to every 100 parts of solid constituents, and it has been shown that there are some Substances, although they are usually non-flowable and cohesive or after a widespread one The technical term "liver-like" are capable of flowing under the influence of tremors and can then be conveniently treated by, for example, easily flow out of the mouth of a container.
B. the following substances are suitable: Finely divided or finely ground or precipitated calcium carbonate, baritim stilfate, lead sulfate, magnesium carbonate, calcium sulfate, Barium carbonate, strontium carbonate, finely powdered stone with a crystalline structure, fine sand and the mud that results in the manufacture of caustic alkalis the reaction of alkali carbonates to the otvde of calcium, strontium or barium results.
If one of these last mentioned sludges, usually 40 to Contains 5o percent water, chosen as a typical example and vibrations is exposed to tremors, then flows as long as the tremors (lurk, the mass from the mouth of its container just like a viscous liquid and can can also be controlled in the same way. But as soon as the tremors stop, listen too the mud zti flow up.
Although every vibration frequency causes the mass to flow, it has been shown that a lower frequency, for example of about five per second, produces only a weak flow. The degree of flow increases with the increase in frequency up to a certain point, beyond which the increase in frequency no longer offers any noticeable advantage. A frequency of around 30 per second can be described as the best economic value.
Filling devices finitely crushing directed towards the outlet Bumpers for lumpy goods are known.
The new device, however, is not such a device Long-term bumpers require a lot of effort, but rather a Short-stroke shaking rod requiring little force for temporary liquefaction von Schlainin through relatively rapid rhythmic tremors.
The shock can affect your property in any way and by any means Funds to be communicated.
In the drawing there is an example of one for decorative driving suitable device shown schematically.
Fig. I is a side view, Fig. 2 is a partial section.
The container a is filled at any height finite (learn the sludge to be filled or other semi-solid material of the type explained above. In order to make the material flow out of the opening b at the bottom, a rod c protrudes slightly into the outlet. The rod extends through the container c, and is connected at the upper end to one end of a fork lever d which protrudes through an opening in the side of a box e which is supported by beams ä above the container The other end of the lever d is in a recess h articulated in the other side of the box. The lever carries between its fork arms a lug j, which rests on a cam wheel k or the like.., which is mounted on the free end of the shaft can be rotated. this k by means of the cam gear, the lever d and c, the rod and thereby return the Abfül l well shaken.
Statt die beschriebene Schüttelstange zti verwenden, kann man auch den Auslaufkanal oder die ihin benachbarten Teile (les Behälter; erschüttern.Instead of using the shaker rod described, you can also shake the outlet channel or the parts adjacent to it (les container;
