Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method and a device for dosing flocculant diluted in water medium into a reaction vessel.
Methods and devices of this type are found in particular when cleaning wastewater in flotation plants dung. The flocculant is at the bottom of the reaction vessel supplied and has the purpose that by usual Floc Flocculation of the dirt contained in the water to support particles during the flotation process so that larger flakes are formed which can be separated more efficiently.
As a flocculant, for example, a water in-oil emulsion of a sodium acrylate-acrylamide copolymer used, which in the undiluted state is a viscous Has consistency. However, such flocculants can are not fed to the flotation vessel undiluted, because they thicken like a gel when they come into contact with water. If the flotation process were interrupted, that would be Flocculant in the mouth area of the feed Form a solid plug and the line ver Plug. For this reason, the flocculant prior to introduction into the reaction vessel with water diluted. The diluted flocculant may only be one extremely low concentration (up to about 0.1% or maxi times 0.5%). At higher concentrations, the Viscosity increases significantly, and over time there is a gel-like mass unsuitable for further processing.
The diluted flocculant is used in large plants in batches in storage tanks with a capacity set by a few cubic meters and then as needed introduced into the flotation vessel.
For smaller flotation plants, such as those used for Wastewater treatment in car washes Use fin that would be the effort for the facilities to provide However, the highly diluted flocculant does not justifiable. Although the flok could be thought of delivery aids already in heavily diluted form far, but this would also be extremely uneconomical, too in this case too, the possibility on the part of the user opportunities for sufficient stocks have been created should be. For economic reasons, therefore so far on the use of such in smaller systems concentrated flocculants waived and ent Significant loss in the efficiency of the cleaning systems to be accepted.
The invention is based, an economy process and a simple and space-saving method indicate direction with which it is possible to flocculate tools that are used at high concentrations in water Cure tend to reak below the water level supply vessel.
This object is achieved by a Ver drive according to claim 1 and a device Claim 4.
In the proposed method, this is undiluted Flocculant in a mixing container continuously mixed with water, the water in the mixing tank is constantly in motion. This ver Thin flocculant is added to the mixing container the reaction vessel initiated. With this procedure can thus the supply of flocculants at the application which are stored in concentrated form so that none large storage tanks are needed. The supply of the undiluted flocculant in the mixing container takes place above the water level, so that the flocculation tool does not come into contact with water and does not get in the supply line can gel. The constant movement of the Water in the mixing tank ensures immediate Ver division of the supplied flocculant and prevented a gelling even at concentrations that are essential above the concentration of the flocculant in conventional storage containers. The flocculant can thus with no problem with a concentration in the border area from 0.1 to 0.5% are provided and supplied at which the flocculant is its largest in the flotation vessel Effectiveness unfolds. At the same time, the minimum is reduced amount of pure water together with the flocculant must be introduced into the flotation vessel, and in the case of waste water with a low degree of pollution, which is not before flotation The wastewater can be mixed with pure water throughput can be increased accordingly.
About the amounts of water and undiluted flocculant can be the flocculant The feed into the flotation vessel is controlled or regulated with care and can be easily adapted to the degree of pollution of the water.
Advantageous further developments and refinements of the Er idea of the invention are specified in the subclaims.
The water in the mixing tank is preferred with the help of a known magnetic stirrer kept in motion. Choice however, a vortex-shaped movement of the Water can be maintained in that the water is introduced tangentially into the mixing container.
In the following a preferred embodiment of the Invention explained with reference to the drawing.
The only drawing figure shows a schematic diagram provision of the essential elements of a flotation plant with an inventive device for metering of flocculants.
The flotation system comprises a flotation vessel 10 with a dirty water inlet 12 , a sludge outlet 14 and a pure water outlet 16 . The pure water passes through the pure water outlet 16 and an overflow vessel 18 into a pure water line 20 .
A feed device 22 for flocculants comprises a mixing container 24 in which water is constantly kept in motion by means of a magnetic stirrer 26 . The magnetic stirrer 26 is formed by a stator 28 arranged below the bottom of the mixing container 24 and a bar magnet 30 lying on the bottom of the mixing container. A rotation of the magnetic field is generated in the stator 28 by coils, not shown, by means of which the bar magnet 30 is set in rotation.
The mixing tank 24 has a flocculant inlet 34 and a water inlet 36 above the water level 32 . A flocculant supply line 38 extends from the mixing container 24 near the bottom and opens into the dirty water inlet 12 . Optionally, the supply line 38 could also open directly into the flotation vessel 10 in the region of the bottom.
The viscous flocculant concentrate is conveyed to the inlet 34 by means of a diaphragm pump 40 and dispensed dropwise into the mixing container 24 via a nozzle 42 . The water inlet 36 is connected to the outlet of a pump 44 . The suction side of the pump 44 is connected to a fresh water supply 48 via a valve 46 and to the pure water line 20 via a valve 50 , so that with the help of the valves 46, 50 and the pump 44 either fresh water or pure water from the flotation vessel into the mixing container 24 can be initiated. The water inlet 36 has a mouth directed downward to the water level. A spray protection screen 52 protects the nozzle 42 against the spray water which occurs during the introduction of water and thus prevents the nozzle from becoming blocked by the hardening of the flocculant.
By controlling the delivery capacities of the water pump 44 and the membrane pump 40 for the flocculant concentrate, the concentration of the flocculant in the mixing container 24 and the flocculant throughput through the supply line 38 can be precisely controlled. Since the water in the mixing container 24 is constantly stirred by means of the magnetic stirrer 26 , the concentration of the flocculant in the mixing container may be relatively high.
For example, with a water throughput of 2800 l / h through the flotation vessel, the water throughput through the mixing tank is 30 l / h, and about 5 drops of flocculant concentrate are added per minute via the nozzle 42 .
In the embodiment shown, the water level 32 is in the mixing tank 24 above the water level in the overflow vessel 18 and in the flotation vessel 10 , and the diluted flocculant flows essentially by gravity into the flotation vessel. Optionally, however, a pump can also be provided in the supply line 38 .
In a further modification of the game Ausführungsbei described, the magnetic stirrer 26 can be replaced by another stirring device. For example, a device has also proven itself in which the water is kept in motion by supplying compressed air.
