Controlled injection nozzle for airless injection of fuel
directly into the combustion chamber of internal combustion engines, in which
the fuel ignites in the compressed air. In internal combustion engines
for liquid fuels in which the fuel is directly, d. H. without air injection,
injected into the combustion chamber and ignited there in the compressed air
is a careful distribution of the fuel over the entire combustion chamber
particularly important. While when the fuel is blown in by compressed air a
this brings about sufficient distribution even with the same injection direction
becomes that the jet of air fuel entering at high speed upon impingement
is deflected on the piston crown and thrown back, at the same time a good one
When the combustion air is swirled, this is the case with direct injection
not the case to the same extent. The one in a rectified jet against the piston crown
or the cylinder wall injected fuel tends rather to get out without being too
burn, to be deposited at the point of impact as soon as the first as a result of burning
Particles on this no more ignitable mixture is present. A movement of air
in the sense that the air used by the influx of fresh air from the not
Replaced areas of the combustion chamber directly hit by the fuel jet
would generally not occur here. The appropriate distribution
of
This means that there is fuel over the entire distribution area
makes this difficult as a result of the movement of the piston during the injection process
its shape changes, so that the most favorable injection direction, which is about
runs diagonally from the nozzle to the opposite corner of the fuel chamber,
is constantly changing.
The invention solves the problem in that there are several injection openings
be used with different beam directions, which are so through a closure member
can be controlled that the fuel is timed during each individual operation
is injected alternately to different points in the combustion chamber. the
The direction of the beam is expediently chosen in accordance with the changing shape
of the combustion chamber corresponds best at any point in time. In this way
is the fuel in the most favorable way possible over the entire combustion chamber
distributed; at the same time it becomes. , let the individual partial burns in quick succession
at different points in the combustion chamber go un; l accordingly the
Constantly changing the tension at the individual points, a good whirling around
of the entire air content brought about with certainty.
Abb. i und a zeigen zwei Ausführungsbeispiele der Erfindung. Bei der
Ausführung nach Abb. i besitzt die Düse a. zwei übereinanderliegende Lochreihen
Figs. I and a show two embodiments of the invention. In the version according to Fig. I, the nozzle a. two superimposed rows of holes b and c from different injection directions. When the fuel needle is raised, the opening 1> through which the fuel is injected in a direction that is only slightly inclined to the plane of the piston head is first opened by the closing collar d, which is firmly connected to the fuel needle. When the fuel valve is raised further, the piston d closes the openings h and releases the row of holes c, to which the fuel now flows through a bore e of the piston in order to be injected into the combustion chamber in a correspondingly more inclined direction. Depending on requirements, several rows of holes with different jet directions can also be arranged one above the other.
In the design according to Fig. Z, all injection openings are located

along a helical line on the circumference of the nozzle can serve the same purpose.
