Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for cleaning Electrode plates according to the preamble of claim 1.
The electrode plates mentioned above serve for the production of electrical memories, in particular of alkaline secondary cells, for example nickel / Hydrogen cells. In the capacity range between 20 to 200 Ah of this electrical storage are the electrodes plates circular and with a central hole the edge of which is usually attached to a current collector flag.
The construction of such an electrical storage is one example point out from the US-PS 45 46 054 as known. The Electrode plates are recently used as a fiber structure scaffold made of metallized plastic fibers. The Pore structure of these electrodes becomes more active with pasty Mass filled, for example, by vibration. The on the Excess paste adhering to the surface must then be removed. And this excess paste does not have to only from the opposite flat sides of the Elektro plates, but also in the area of narrow Outer peripheral surface and from the area of the inner edge of the Middle hole to be removed. For small ones to be manufactured Pieces of electrode plates may be a time consuming one and cumbersome hand cleaning can still be justified; however, as soon as electrode plates in large numbers, i.e. H. are to be manufactured on an industrial scale however, hand cleaning for cost and quality reasons no longer justifiable.
The object of the invention is to provide a device with which the electrode plates are efficient and constant be well cleaned of excess active paste can.
This object is inventively characterized by nenden features of claim 1 solved. Then the on Electrode plate held in the center by a mandrel Brushes rotating slowly through a brush nip rotates through, the bristles not only against overlying flat sides of the electrode plate, but also the outer circumference and the inner edge of the center hole brush and wipe off the excess paste from anywhere or brush off. With a single circulation of the electrodes plate is completely and reliably cleaned; the mandrel can move out of the brush area and the cleaned electrode plate held by him against a new, yet uncleaned electrode plate be exchanged.
Otherwise, the Invention based on one shown in the drawings Embodiment explained below; there shows

The embodiment shown in the figures of a cleaning device for electrode plates according to the invention contains a substantially cuboid capsule 10 with a laterally attached opening flap 11 ; On the upper side, a slot 16 is introduced approximately in the middle, which runs open towards the opening flap 11 . In the interior of the encapsulation 10 , a large plate brush 5 with a vertically rising axis of rotation 13 is arranged; the corresponding brush shaft is passed through a bottom opening in the encapsulation. The brush shaft is connected to a variable-speed drive, not shown. In a similar manner, a further, however, smaller plate brush 6 is fitted in the cleaning device, which is arranged with its axis of rotation 14 eccentrically to the axis of rotation 13 of the large plate brush 5 . The corresponding shaft of the small plate brush is also led out through an opening in the encapsulation 10 ; it is also connected to a variable speed drive for the disc brush. The plate brushes with approximately the same length of axially lying bristles are in their mutual distance is that the tips of the bristles touch or even slightly overlap. In any case, however, the two opposing rotating brushes form a "brush gap" into which an electrode plate can be immersed.
Die Spannebene des Greifkopfes 17 liegt höhengleich wie der oben erwähnte Bürstenspalt zwischen den beiden gegenüberliegenden Tellerbürsten 5 und 6.Parallel to the axes of rotation 13 and 14 of the plate brushes 5, 6 , a rotatably driven mandrel 4 is provided, which projects through the slot 16 of the capsule 10 into the open and is also connected to a rotary drive, the speed of which, however, is significantly lower than that is the plate brushes. The mandrel is movable transversely to its axis of rotation 15 between a dash-dot line, outside of the capsule development 10 change position and the working position shown in full lines. At the lower end of the mandrel 4 , a gripping head 17 is attached, with which the electrode plate 1 to be cleaned can be gripped in the area of the inner edge of its central hole 2 in such a way that the gripped electrode plate can be held in a defined position in an end perpendicular to the axis of rotation 15 . The inner edge of the center hole 2 is largely exposed. Gripping heads of this type are known per se and do not require any further discussion here. The clamping plane of the gripping head 17 is at the same height as the brush gap mentioned above between the two opposite plate brushes 5 and 6 .
After the electrode plate 1 received by the mandrel 4 or its gripping head 17 is freely accessible on one side, the plate brush 5 associated with this - lower - flat side of the electric plate 1 can be very generously dimensioned; in any case, one will choose the diameter D 1 of this plate brush 5 larger than the diameter D of the electrode plate 1 . Expediently, the outer diameter D 1 of the large plate brush is dimensioned to approximately 1.2 to 2 times the outer diameter D of the electrode plate 1 . In one - compared to the working position of the mandrel 4 - eccentric position of the large plate brush 5 , the excess paste adhering to the bristles is brushed out over the outer edge of the electrode plate; from there, the mass adhering to the bristles can be removed by doctor devices 7 and spray heads 8 . In addition, due to a certain whip effect of the bristles appearing under the electrode plate, the adhering mass is thrown off and caught by the inner wall of the encapsulation 10 . The bristles of the large disc brush 5 coat not only the flat side of the electrode plate assigned to this brush, but also the narrow, axially lying outer edge of the electrode plate and the inner edge of the center hole 2 , so that excess paste adhering there is reached and removed by the brush. In a completely analogous manner, the flat side of the electrode plate lying above is also brushed and cleaned accordingly by the smaller plate brush 6 assigned to it, which likewise reaches the outer circumference of the electrode plate and the inner edge of the center hole. This smaller plate brush is designed with its outer diameter D 2 to be larger than half the diameter of the electrode plate 1 , so that the smaller plate brush sweeps over the edge of the electrode plate with each revolution and is automatically cleaned by a certain whip effect of the bristles. In part, the smaller brush releases the dirt load it carries and to the outer bristles of the larger plate brush 5 , from which it is in turn removed by the doctor device 7 mentioned. The latter are specifically assigned to the outer circumferential area of the brushes, where the largest dirt load collects. The Rakelein devices 7 are movably supported and can be adjusted optimally. The squeegee device assigned to the smaller plate brush 6 can also be held in such a movable manner that it deliberately dips into the bristle gap during the change breaks and strips off the dirt load adhering to the small plate from it. This cleaning of the brushes can be supported by the supply of spray liquid speed via the spray heads 8 mentioned, but this should be limited to the changing breaks of the electrode plates 1 so as not to unnecessarily moisten the pore filling of the electrode plates. In order to accelerate the cleaning of the plate brushes during the change breaks and also to promote a certain self-cleaning effect, the plate brushes can be driven at an increased speed during the change breaks, so that, on the one hand, a higher centrifugal force is exerted on the adhering mass, that for another an increased whip effect on the individual bristles can be exerted by the doctor device 7 and that, finally, the doctor frequency is also higher than in a normal brush revolution.
In the small plate brush 6 diametrically opposite area of the electrode plate 1 , no brush is provided on the top; this area should not be obstructed by protruding parts for an unobstructed insertion of the mandrel 4 or the electrode plate 1 held by it into the cleaning device. In this area, the large plate brush 5 only acts on the underside of the electrode plate. The bristles of the large plate brush lying under tension on the underside of the electrode plate exert a certain compressive force on the electrode plate. In order to protect this from excessive force or even from a disruption, in the illustrated embodiment, an elastically flexible pressure roller 9 is provided on the upper side in the area only acted upon by the large plate brush 5, which counteracts the force of the bristles on the underside. This pressure roller can in turn be provided with a doctor device which always keeps the pressure roller clean.
With the cleaning device described can very clean surfaces on the electrode plates be so that a manual rework on the outer and inner peripheral parts is not necessary. Furthermore becomes a uniform, favorable surface texture of the electrode plates over a large production lot size achieved away. The Reini The device allows the working method to be avoided for a long time Handling times and is therefore very productive. A Another advantage is that thanks to the closed Encapsulation the brushed active mass returned and can be reused. Additional cleaning agents are not necessary, so that costs and Operations for targeted disposal are not necessary.
