The conventional window/headlamp washing systems in vehicles, in particular passenger cars and lorries, are constructed in such a way that a jet of fluid is sprayed onto the window/headlamp to be cleaned via spray nozzles attached to the body of the vehicle, in order to improve the wiper power of the window/headlamp wiper on a window which is dirty or dry. This method requires a large consumption of water, leads to water marks in the regions of the window/headlamp which are not in the area of action of the wiper and to soiling of the body of the vehicle. The improvement presented here provides for the cleaning fluid to be fed via a line system directly into the area of the wiper or wiping blade and to be applied directly onto the window/headlamp.
