Abstract

The gas-filter, esp. for air, consists of an electric filter arrangement having two concentric electrodes (33,24), in one of which there is a cut-out through which the gas to be filtered passes radially. Both electrodes may have cut-outs, and the gas is fed axially into the inner electrode. The electric filter may be concentrically arranged within an activated charcoal filter (22). The charcoal filter has a cylindrical cover vessel comprising two grid-networks concentrically arranged to sandwich the filter, the inner grid forming the counter electrode for the electric filter. On the tube electrodes, locations of raised field strength may be created by tongues bent out from the cover face of the tube electrode.
