Description

Vorrichtung zur Herstellung von feuerfesten und isolierenden Körpern durch Pressen eines Gemisches von pulverförmigen Materialien im Vakuum. Es ist bekannt, zwecks Herstellung von porenfreien Kunststeinen bei dem Pressen dcs im Formkasten befindlichen plastischen Kunst- steinmörtels die im Preßgut enthaltene at- mosphärische Luft und Feuchtigkeit durch eine Luftpumpe abzusauge_i. Demgegenüber bezieht sich die Erfindung auf die Herstellung von feuerfesten und isolierenden Körpern aus Mischungen von pulverförmigen Materialien, wie natürliches Magnesiumsilikat und eines oder mehrerer natürlicher oder künstlicher Doppel- oder Mehrfachsilikate. welche in pul- verförmigem Zustand gemischt, unter sehr hohem Druck geformt oder gepreßt und dann gebrannt werden. Den Gegenstand der Er- findung bildet eine Einrichtung, um in ein- facher und zuverlässiger Weise zwecks Er- höhung der Homogenität die Pressung der pulverförmigen Materialien im Vakuum vor- nehmen zu können, ohne daß die Gefahr einer Absaugung der pulverförmigen Massen besteht. Zu diesem Zweck besteht die Erfindung darin, daß daß pulverförmige Material in der Presse durch einen Abschlußkörper festgehalten wird, dessen Umfang etwas geringer als derjenige der Preßform ist, derart, daß beim An- schließen der Presse an eine Vakuummaschine oder einen Vakuumbehälter die Luft aus der Presse ohne Mitnahme des pulverförmigen Materials abgesaugt werden kann. Der Erfindung#gegenstand ist auf der Zeich- nung in einem Ausführungsbeispiel veran- schaulicht: hie pulverförmigen und in dem passenden Verhältnis gemischten Materialien werden bei a in e-*ne geeignete Preßform b zwischen den Kolben c und einen Deckel d gebracht.
