With a vulcanized insulating compound, such as rubber, gutta-percha, and the like, sheathed wire for electrical 'lines: - Until now, cores for electrical conduction purposes with a covering made of vulcanized insulating compound; like gum, gutta-percha, etc. ' always manufactured in such a way that the metal conductor was surrounded by homogeneous, dense layers of a suitable mixture of the aforementioned compounds, and the attempt was made to prevent blistering of the mixture during the vulcanization process under all circumstances. - It can be explained that such - veins have a high charge. own; because the dielectric constant is related to vacuum z. B. for gum is 2.7, while for gutta-percha it even fluctuates between 2.8 and 4., 2. It is also known that a high charge is absolutely damaging when applied to conductors through which current flows, and that efforts are therefore made to reduce the charge as far as possible.
Gebilde solcher vulkanislerbarer Massen besteht.
Ader vollkommen ausgeschlossen. The present invention relates to a new wire, 'in which the
Charge is significantly reduced by the fact that the surrounding metal conductor

that the latter is advantageous for the manufacture of telephone and telegraph cables

For the purpose of producing the new wire, the following procedure is expedient
Way: The - or the metal conductor are first in the usual way with a
Sheath made of rubber o
red-differentiated gas vulcanized, whereby the compressed gas enters the mass. To
Completion of this process is the wire through a fixed shaped tube of the appropriate

Prevent molded tube ztt,
the insulating jacket is powdered beforehand with a
Dusted mass. After exiting the molded tube, the rubber jacket is covered with a black rubber
the surrounding core is provided with a braid of yarn.
If you want the rubber vein instead of the braiding with an outer one
Surrounded by lead pipe, the core, which is pressed around with the rubber compound, is passed after vulcanization
<pass through a lead pipe press in such a way that only after the lead jacket has formed
the release from external gas pressure occurs. The penetrated into the rubber mass,
Gas that is still under internal pressure expands the rubber jacket until
as a foam structure it fills the entire cavity of the lead pipe.
z. B. Hindurchführung der Ader durch kaltes Wasser.Double lines with a common sponge rubber cover can also be used
Manufacture with the new process without difficulty, with or without a metal jacket.
In the case of gutta-percha, actual vulcanization is not necessary, rather
Appropriate other means can be used here for cooling and hardening,
z. B. Passing the vein through cold water.
