Um die Speichen an Velociped- und anderen, gleichen Bedingungen unterworfenen Rädern aus möglichst dünnem Stahldraht herstellen zu können und um zugleich zu erreichen, dafs der Ersatz zerbrochener Speichen ohne Abnehmen des äufseren (Gummi-) Radreifens bewirkt werden kann, ist jede Speiche s mit zwei der Länge nach durchbohrten Schraubenbolzen α versehen und an den Enden durch angestauchte Köpfchen b verstärkt. Durch die Bolzen a, welche, Fig. 1 und 2, die Köpfchen umfassen und in den Kranz c bezw. in die Nabe e des Rades eingeschraubt sind, werden die Speichen im Rade befestigt und gespannt.
