Den Gegenstand der Erfindung bilden neue Befestigungsmittel für Zugspeichen. Das mit Schraubengewinde versehene Ende der Speichenstange wird nicht unmittelbar in die Nabe oder in die Felge des Rades eingeschraubt, sondern in einen mit Muttern versehenen Nippel, welcher der Länge nach geschlitzt ist und dessen Aufsenflä'che einen abgestumpften Kegel mit an dem Speichenende liegender Basis bildet. Indem sich dieser' Nippel beim Einschrauben des Speichenstabes in eine entsprechend kegelförmige Bohrung der Nabe oder der Felge hineinzieht, schliefst er sich an der Schlitzstelle fest zusammen und sichert durch das dabei stattfindende vollkommene Ineinandergreifen des Bolzen- und Muttergewindes die feste Verbindung. Fig. 2 und 9, ferner Fig. 6 und 13, sowie Fig. 8 und 1 5 zeigen den Nippel B mit einem T-förmigen, vom stärkeren Ende ausgehenden Schlitz b. In den Fig. 3 und 10 ist dieser Schlitz einfach geradlinig. In- Fig. 4 und 11 geht dieser Schlitz vom schwächeren Ende aus. Fig. 5 und 12 zeigen zwei einander gegenüberliegende Schlitze am stärkeren Ende. In Fig. 7 und 14 endlich ist der Nippel mit einem durchgehenden Längsschlitz b ausgestattet. Um den Nippel zu verhindern, sich mit dem Speichenstab zu drehen, kann man, wie in den Fig. 2 und 9 angegeben, an seinem stärkeren Ende eine Nase b1 anordnen, der ein Ausschnitt am inneren Ende der Bohrungen α der Nabe A entsprechen mufs.
