Abstract
Description
The invention relates generically to an automatic fuel nozzle for the fuel dispensing hose of a petrol pump, in particular for the delivery of diesel fuel, - with housing, ribs inserted into a housing nozzle with intermittent holding ribs on the underside of the fuel nozzle and outer return gutter, the outer return gutter is formed on an annular component which surrounds the nozzle in the area of the housing connector. Under "automatic fuel nozzles" are to be understood those that are attached with their fuel nozzle in the fuel tank of a motor vehicle to be refueled and automatically interrupt the fueling process when the level of fuel in the tank reaches the mouth of the fuel nozzle. As "external return" the fuel residue is referred to, which runs back to the outside of the fuel nozzle when the fueling process when the fuel nozzle with the fuel nozzle moves back up to the fuel pump and / or is accordingly suspended there.
In known automatic nozzles (US-PS 33 32 457, FR-PS 10 53 574), the annular component is a gutter or a bowl that is pushed or molded onto the nozzle is. That is disadvantageous. The gutter catches the outer back run up, but this drips at least partially when the suspended nozzle for a new refueling process removed and with the nozzle down the inlet nozzle a fuel tank is supplied to a motor vehicle. The dripping fuel is particularly annoying when it is is diesel fuel because it does not evaporate and polluted the floor. This is also polluted The nozzle housing when the gutter or bowl overflows. The apparently simple combinations described above Slopes are complex: when you stop filling up a force vehicle by automatically switching off the fuel nozzle the fuel nozzle is about 3 to 5 cm high on the outside or wetted by the fuel foam. The person who refueling process, the nozzle generally leaves just drip for a few seconds and then go upstairs directed nozzle back to the gas pump. There it will As a rule, the nozzle is turned on with the nozzle upwards hangs. It waits there until the next customer gets it out again takes. During this time, the external return collects, it slowly runs down the nozzle.
In addition to the arrangement of external return gutters are already other measures tried to catch the external return. So knows one drip catcher in the form of washers from special absorbent material that is slipped over the nozzle (DE-OS 28 00 143). Such drip catchers work well initially. However, they soak up surprisingly quickly. In full sucked state, they are not only ineffective, but because of it annoying because the operator is concerned about such Can spot drip. Replacing the fully sucked drip is an uncomfortable job.
The invention has for its object a generic To further design the nozzle so that the external return at not only with the nozzle on the nozzle is safely absorbed, but also back into a force vehicle tank runs back when the nozzle at one next refueling is handled as usual.
To achieve this object, the invention teaches that the outside return gutter formed on the face of a sleeve is, which has a circumferential receiving chamber, and that the External return gutter over throttling recesses or throttling bores that form channels from the nozzle are bounded, is connected to the receiving chamber.
The recording chamber can be designed in different ways. It ver stands out that they are in relation to the volume of the outer back running gutter has a much larger volume. The Admission chamber can e.g. B. from a circumferential chamber exist which surrounds the nozzle so that the nozzle is the same sam forms the other wall of the receiving chamber. The sleeve can Be part of the housing and can also be fixed with the nozzle be connected. It is within the scope of the invention, the sleeve to put on the nozzle later. This allows already installed nozzle and thereby convert into nozzles according to the invention. In this To context is a preferred embodiment of the invention characterized in that the sleeve towards the housing neck through a seal arranged between the sleeve and the nozzle is sealed.
In the nozzle according to the invention, the external return Gutter and the receiving chamber through several holes or Recesses connected to each other. The external return arrives this way into the receiving chamber. Arrangement and Ausle are made so that the total in the reception chamber gelt fuel under the effect of gravity and upper Surface tension takes a considerable amount of time to get out the receiving chamber with the nozzle held down To run out of the fuel nozzle, to run along the fuel nozzle and to drain from this. The nozzle is held up or the nozzle is hung up accordingly, so runs force initially absorbed in the external return gutter through the recesses or holes slowly into the opening taking chamber. There is enough time for that, between two refueling processes always take some time. The also applies to self-service petrol stations, where regular after the completion of a refueling process first the payment of the delivered amount of fuel takes place. In the invention This nozzle does not start until the power nozzle is lowered material from the relatively small holes or recess leakage that the receiving chamber with the outer back Connect the running gutter. The outflowing fuel is distributed more or less in the lower part of the external return Gutter and then runs along the outside of the nozzle and into the tank of the Motor vehicle into it. In the time that a usual betan takes sufficient time to complete the process empty emptying of the receiving chamber. It is recommended that the dimensioning of the external return gutter and the Aus Takes or holes that the external return gutter with connect the receptacle, the viscosity of the force Take into account the material for which the nozzle is intended. Diesel fuel generally has larger dimensions sions worked.
Es zeigt in schematischer DarstellungIn the following, the invention is based on only one Embodiment representing drawing in more detail explained. It shows in a schematic representation
Fig. 1 teilweise im Schnitt die Seitenansicht einer erfin dungsgemäßen automatischen Zapfpistole, Fig. 1 in partial sectional side view of an automatic OF INVENTION to the invention nozzle,
Fig. 2 completely cut the section A from the object of FIG. 1, sleeve and nozzle.
Zur Schaltautomatik 6 gehört ein Fühlerrohr 7 im Zapfrohr 3.The automatic fuel nozzle shown in the figures is intended for the fuel delivery hose of a petrol station fuel pump. In particular, it is a fuel nozzle for the delivery of diesel fuel. To the basic construction to include a housing 1 and inserted into a housing socket 2 dispensing tube. 3 The nozzle 3 is surrounded by a ring-shaped sleeve 5 . A groove 4 is formed on the end face of this. The sleeve 5 surrounds the nozzle 3 in the area of Ge housing connector 2 . Inside the housing 1 be the automatic switch 6 , which is constructed in a known manner and therefore does not need to be described here. The automatic switch 6 includes a sensor tube 7 in the nozzle 3 .
In particular, from FIG. 2 it can be seen that an outer return running gutter 8 is formed on the end face 9 of the sleeve 5 , which has a circumferential receiving chamber 10 . The outer return gutter 8 is connected via recesses or Bohrun gene 11 with the receiving chamber 10 . In the embodiment example and according to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the outer return gutter 8 consists of a circumferential groove 8 and the associated surface 12 of the nozzle 3 . The receiving chamber 10 consists of a circumferential Auskam merge and also the associated wall of the nozzle 3 . The sleeve 5 is sealed off from the housing connector 2 by a seal 13 arranged between the sleeve 5 and the nozzle 3 . In Fig. 1 it was indicated that the sleeve 5 may have an externally connected splash guard 14 on the face.
The outer return gutter 8 has, for example, a gutter width of only about 1 mm. It consists to the extent of a gap, and contributes to increase the amount of time that must pass ver before accumulated in the receiving chamber 10 terminates at reduced fuel dispensing tube 3, the outside ent long running dispensing tube 3 and drips. Surprisingly, it no longer drips on the outer return gutter 8 . The gutter 4 also contributes to the fact that fuel from the external return gutter 8 does not drain uncontrollably or drain to the housing 1 before the nozzle 3 is immersed in the filler neck of a motor vehicle tank. If the connection between the outer return gutter 8 and the receiving chamber 10 consists of bores 11 and it is diesel fuel, one will work with bores 11 which have a cross-section of 1 to 2 mm 2 . The hole cross section is preferably approximately 1.3 mm 2 . It can be distributed over the order to four holes 11 provided. If the leakage of fuel that has accumulated in the receiving chamber 10 takes too long, the bores 11 mentioned or the corresponding recesses and also the width of the outer return gutter 8 will be enlarged. If this leakage takes place too quickly, the diameter of the components mentioned will be reduced. The conditions are running when the fuel nozzle is suspended in the filler neck of a motor vehicle tank, always so that fuel that has accumulated in the receiving chamber 10 can also leak because the receiving chamber 10 has one or more bores 11 or recesses that connect the external return-catching channel 8 and a receiving chamber 10 , is also ventilated.
