Description
Process for the preparation of carbonic acid evolving mixtures for treatment of wounds and body cavities. In the main patent z594.93 there is a method of manufacture of disinfectants or remedies for treating wounds or body cavities protected, which in the addition of a foam-promoting substance in that required for the production of a persistent, tough foam Crowd exists. The substances to be added for this are organic colloids, such as gelatin, Protein, @dextrin: o: like.
The present method consists in that for the preparation of the effervescent or gas-evolving mixture used substances with the second Part of not just the creation of a. Foam or the development of gas 'but at the same time form a colloid. Such substances are hydrolytically cleavable aluminum salts; such as B. sulfuric acid, acetic acid or formic aluminum. They react with alkali carbonates in such a way that that on the one hand carbonic acid is developed, on the other hand aluminum hydroxide is more colloidal Form emerges. The colloidal aluminum hydroxide formed contributes to the formation the lingering or long-lasting foam. To the effervescent mixture there are other colloids, e.g. B. gelatin, egg white, dextrin or the like; and achieved the advantage that much smaller amounts of the additives are necessary; as they would be necessary, for example, with mixtures of tartaric acid and bicarbonate.
The advantage of using the aluminum sulfate is that the preparation of the mixtures is easier, since the use of larger quantities of Gelatin and egg white always cause certain technical difficulties. aside from that the mixtures are more durable, since sulfuric aluminum is a disinfectant and avoids decomposition.
Zur Desinfektion von Körperhöhlen eignet sich beispielsweise folgende Mischung: 30 g Aluminiumsulfat, 3o g Natriumbilcarbonat, i g Gelatine, i g Sublimat bzw. Salizylsäure, z g Talk, 36g Milchzucker. For example, the following mixture is suitable for disinfecting body cavities: 30 g aluminum sulfate, 30 g sodium carbonate, 1 g gelatine, 1 g sublimate or salicylic acid, 1 g talc, 36 g lactose.
The additives of talc and lactose can also be missing.
Mixtures of Aluminum salts with tartaric salts and sodium bicarbonate are suggested. The prescribed The presence of tartrate salts prevents the precipitation of aluminum hy droxy d. A clear solution results; which was expressly intended. In contrast this is done at. the present process intentionally eliminates the formation of undissolved solids Aluminum hydroxide brought about. The aluminum salts still have that another advantage of bringing about a therapeutic effect.
