Schliesslich ist nachstehend ein Beispiel beschrieben, bei dem die Zersetzung der komplexen Verbindungen durch ein Zirkoniumsalz bewirkt wird. Man löst eine Mischung von Hafnium-und Zirkoniumphosphat, die auf Zirkonium berechnet Y2-1 % Hafnium enthält, in Fluorwasserstoffsäure und teilt die so erhaltene Lösung in zwei Teile A und B. Den Teil A fällt man mit Hilfe einer Base aus. Das so erhaltene Hydroxyd wird ausgewaschen und in Salzsäure gelöst. Diese Lösung wird nun dem Teil B der Lösung der komplexen Verbindungen zugesetzt.
Wählt man die Beziehung der Teile A und B derart, dass etwa des ursprünglich vorhandenen Hafniums und Zirkoniums zersetzt wird, so enthält die infolge dieser Zersetzung gefällte Mischung von Hafnium-und Zirkoniumphosphat auf Zirkonium berechnet etwa 2% Hafnium. Verfährt man mit dem so erhaltenen 2% Hafnium enthaltenden Zirkoniumphosphat nochmals in derselben Weise und führt man die Zersetzung eines Drittels der Mischung von Hafnium

PATENT-ANSPRUCHE :
1. Verfahren zur Trennung von Hafnium und Zirkonium mittels fraktionierter Zersetzung, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass einer Mischung der komplexen Verbindungen, die durch Einführung eines Gemisches von Hafnium-und Zirkoniumphosphat in ein Fluorwasserstoffsäure oder ein Bifluorid enthaltendes Mittel erzielt werden können, ein Stoff zugesetzt wird, der die komplexen Verbindungen durch Ent- fernung von Fluor unter Zumeklassung der Phosphate von Hafnium und Zirkonium fraktioniert zersetzt.

Finally, an example is described below in which the decomposition of the complex compounds is effected by a zirconium salt. A mixture of hafnium and zirconium phosphate, which contains Y2-1% hafnium based on zirconium, is dissolved in hydrofluoric acid and the solution thus obtained is divided into two parts A and B. Part A is precipitated with the aid of a base. The hydroxide obtained in this way is washed out and dissolved in hydrochloric acid. This solution is now added to part B of the solution of the complex compounds.
If the relationship of parts A and B is chosen such that the originally present hafnium and zirconium is decomposed, then the mixture of hafnium and zirconium phosphate on zirconium precipitated as a result of this decomposition contains about 2% hafnium calculated. PATENT CLAIMS:
1. A method for the separation of hafnium and zirconium by means of fractional decomposition, characterized in that a substance is added to a mixture of the complex compounds which can be obtained by introducing a mixture of hafnium and zirconium phosphate into a hydrofluoric acid or a bifluoride-containing agent, which fractionally decomposes the complex compounds by removing fluorine and adding the phosphates of hafnium and zirconium.
