Abstract

The light has a lamp housing (10) with a peripheral frame (11) and an internal reflector (31) enclosing the fluorescent lamp (29). This fits into an insert (12) fitted to the top of the frame (11) which is wholly or partially transparent, to allow an additional light output to either side. Pref. a hollow space is provided between the inner surface of the frame (11) and the outer surface of the reflector (31), for containing the lamp starter circuit.
