Description

Process for the production of enamels suitable for wet application. Addition to patent 36o = 56. Apart from the substances mentioned in the chief patent, alkali, magnesia, lime (from river spafih), clay; Silicic acid and fluorine, the enamel in a molten state can also contain barium. (Ba 0) included. In view of the toxicity of the barium, this enamel can of course only be used where it does not come into contact with food. The additional ratio to enamel is 1 to 8 percent barium oxide, i.e. 1.3 to 1z.2 percent when using Schwerspath (Ba S 04) or 1.3 to 10.5 percent when using witherite (Ba C 0s).
