Description
Schwimmer. Die Erfindung betrifft einen Schwimmer, wie er im Maschinenbau- für die Einleitung von Bewegungen in Abhängigkeit von einem Flüssigkeitsstande Verwendung findet. Schwimmer, welche als geschlossene-Hohlkörper ausgeführt sind und unter äußerem Druck arbeiten müssen, sind der Gefahr ausgesetzt, zusammengedrückt zu werden. Es kann z. B. durch entsprechende Verstärkung der Wandungen des Schwimmkörpers dieser Gefahr begegnet werden. Ebenfalls bereits bekannt ist es, in den Schwimmer ein wenigstens bei verminderter Temperatur teilweile in flüssigem Zustand sich befindendes Mittel einzufüllen, das durch Verdampfung den Druckausgleich bewirken soll. In jedem Fall wird jedoch die Auftriebskraft des Schwimmers erheblich geschwächt. Sodann kann es bei der Verwendung derart angefüllter Schwimmer für Dampfkessel vorkommen, daß der Schwimmer infolge der besonderen Natur des Dampfkessels in kalte Wasserschichten eintaucht, wodurch die Schwimmerflüssigkeit nicht zur Verdampfung gelangt, und somit gar kein oder nur ein ungenügender Druckausgleich zur Wirkung kommt.Swimmer.
