Abstract

The warhead has a nose of arcuated shape, connected to a cylindrical body and equipped with a mechanical or electronic detonator. The nose also contains a fast reacting ignition device, which develops a large quantity of gas and heat, and a smoke generating device. The ignition device and the smoke generator are mounted on a tube and enclosed in an outer tube which is normally used with a much smaller live warhead. The outer tube is reinforced by a housing with a bulkhead between this housing and the forward part of the nose.
