Lock device for knitting machines. When working the knitting machine
there is the disadvantage that one or more needle feet are so in the
Area of the lock that the middle part of the lock with one of its
Base corners against the needle butt. This not only results in a broken needle, but
the lock and needle bed also suffer. There are already devices known which
should eliminate the evil. However, these well-known lock protectors do not work
reliable and above all they fail when several needles are next to each other
are in the dangerous position. The one used with your well-known lock schooner
Spring lever is when the machine is running at high speed when it is lifted by a needle
was, not yet in working position again when the lock middle part the second
Needle foot meets.
The apparatus of the present invention operates
safe, even if many needle feet are next to each other from the dangerous position too
are bring. The new device must be attached to every knitting machine.
in beispielsweiser Ausführung in Abb. i in Schmalansicht, und in Abb.:2 in Ansicht
in Arbeitsstellung geschoben.
getroffen, so kommt er in Tief- also in Ruhestellung.
In the drawing, the knitting machine lock with the new device is shown in an exemplary embodiment in Fig. I in a narrow view, and in Fig.:2 in a view from below. In front of each corner a of the central lock part b , resistors c, d are arranged so that when a needle butt comes into their area, they either push it into the working or rest position, or the resistance itself evades by stepping back into the lock plate . In the drawing, for example, the resistors are cylindrical with a conical tip, but they can just as easily be shaped differently, i.e. prismatic, spherical or the like, if only the desired effect mentioned above is achieved. Under certain circumstances, one resistor is sufficient, but for greater security you will arrange two or more such resistors c, d next to each other, and then the center of the resistor c located at the corner a will lie exactly in the direction of the lower edge aa of the middle part, during the next resistor d is slightly behind, as can be seen in Fig. a of the drawing. The resistors c, d are under the action of a spring e which pushes them out of the lock plate. If such a resistance c, d strikes against a needle butt f, the latter, when it encounters above center g, is pushed up, that is to say, pushed into the working position. If the needle butt is hit below the middle g of the resistance, it comes to a low position, that is to say to a rest position. But if the middle g of the resistance hits the needle butt, then the resistance is pushed back into the lock plate and the neighboring resistance takes over, because it is slightly behind, so that in this case its center cannot be hit, the shifting of the needle butt upwards or below.
