Doppeltondruckfarben. Zusatz zum Patent 347902. Nach dem Hauptpatent 347902 werden zur Herstellung von Doppeltondirucken mit -LNl.ineralölsäuren fettlöslich gemachte Farben vorgeschlagen. Dieselben haben gegenüber den bisher benutzten Druckfarben, welche mit animalischen -oder vegetabilischen ü1- oder Fettsäuren bereitet wurden, den großen technischen Vorteil, daß die Färbungen der Doppeltonbilder schneller und satter hervortreten. Die Beschaffung der Mineralöfsäuren, wovon insbesondere die Naphthensäure in Betracht kommt, ist durch den Krieg außerordentlich erschwert, weshalb die Beobachtung; daß Montansäure als Ersatz dafür verwendet werden kann und die gleichen Vorteile gegen die früheren animalischen und vegetabilischen Fettsäuren aufweist, ein besonders gelegener ?ufall ist. Es war keineswegs vorauszusehen, claß montansaure Farbsalze die Farbenkontraste deutlicher als die entsprechenden fettsauren Salze hervortreten lassen würden, man hätte vielmehr erwarten können, daß sie auf Grund ihrer chemischen Verwandtschaft die gleichen Mängel teilen würden.Double-tone printing inks.
