Eine Verstellvorrichtung für Kummete, bestehend aus dem mit dem Gelenk α versehenen Bügel C in Verbindung mit:An adjustment device for collars, consisting of the bracket C provided with the joint α in connection with:

a) den an diesem drehbar angebrachten Schraubenmuttern e und den oben mit einem Schraubengewinde versehenen Bügeltheilen AA (Fig. ι und 2), oder in Verbindung mit:a) the screw nuts e rotatably attached to this and the bracket parts AA provided with a screw thread above (Fig. ι and 2), or in connection with:

Patented in the German Empire on September 8, 1885.

The collar consists of the bracket A shown alone by Fig. 1 and 2 of the drawing and the middle belt, buckles and respectively. Nails with this connected pad BB.

The latter, like the bracket A, does not form a coherent whole, but consists, as can be seen from FIGS. 3 and 4, of two parts which are connected by the bracket C provided with the joint α . At the lower end one part of the bracket A ends in a flange which is pierced by the slot b , while the other part of the bracket also ends in a flange on which the screw-threaded pin c rises. If the two parts are put together in such a way that the flanges coincide, with the screw pin c passing through the slot b , they can also be firmly connected at this point by the screw nut d , as can be seen from the average figure belonging to FIG.

With the bracket C, FIGS. 1 and 2, the screw nuts ee are firmly connected in such a way that they can be rotated about them. The bracket parts A are provided at their upper end with a screw thread corresponding to the screw nuts ee , with which they are screwed into the latter. By tightening these screws in conjunction with the device just described, the collar can now be adjusted in terms of height and width according to the present requirement, FIG. 2.

The lock nut f prevents any involuntary adjustment of the collar.

3 and 4 show a modification of this device. With the bracket parts AA , the sleeves D D, into which the screw- threaded legs of the bracket C fit comfortably, are firmly connected. The screw nuts g, which are screwed onto the stirrup legs inserted into the sleeves, are located in each of these sleeves through a transverse slot.

By turning this screw nut g, the collar can now be adjusted as desired in the same way as just discussed, and the lock nuts hh can be locked in the given position.

One of the main advantages of this collar is that, after the screw nut d has been removed, it can be spread apart in the manner shown in FIG. 4 and simply placed around the horse's neck, which in many cases has its great advantages.
