Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a container for receiving Media containing pollutants with the help of negative pressure through an intake manifold, the container being a lid with a vacuum connection opening into it, a float and a valve actuated thereby has, and an outlet opening at the bottom of the container is provided with a counterweight loaded flap which is pivotable to the outside is closed.
Such a container is known (DE-OS 30 32 503). This container is preferably used as an accessory to fire fighting equipment Application. Namely, those containing pollutants solid and / or liquid media from e.g. B. fixed documents or completely remove liquid surfaces, is a negative pressure of up to by a water jet pump to 0.1 bar generated by the media over height differences of almost 10 m can be sucked in. Is located the water jet pump in a self-contained Water cycle. As a drive unit for water circulation becomes a centrifugal pump, preferably in the form a fire pump. To prevent the Pollutants get into the water cycle in the suction line for those containing the pollutants Media of the corresponding container (EP-PS 00 02 810). When using the container described at the beginning the media introduced into the container after reaching it a certain level automatically drained because the container floating on the media the valve in The cyclone lid opens so that air can flow into the container can. A correspondingly greater pressure acts on the Flap at the bottom of the container, which then swings open and lets the collected media flow out. During the outflow the swimmer returns to its rest position, at which the valve is closed. After emptying the container swings the flap back against the floor, so that in the Container can build up a negative pressure again, via the other media be sucked in. Because the float returns to its rest position while the media is flowing out of the tank, at which the valve is closed there may be delays result in outflow. If the container as an accessory for fire fighting equipment this disadvantage is still acceptable. For installation on oil trawlers for the absorption of oil-contaminated water, For example, in the event of oil spills at sea, such delays can be reliably avoided when flowing out and it must be a quicker and safe work cycle can be achieved.
The object of the invention is to accelerate the emptying of the container as well as the reliability and repeatability of the To increase the emptying process.
This object is achieved in that the float and the flap for executing joint opening and closing movements of the valve and the flap are mechanically coupled to one another.
With this container too, a certain level is reached the float is raised and the valve is opened, through which air can flow into the container. Because of the mechanical Coupling between the float and the flap is under the effect of the opening movement of the flap and the float so that the valve moves further in the opening direction. Appropriate Valve cross sections are enlarged so that more air in the Can flow into the container, which cancels the effect of the negative pressure and thereby enables faster emptying of the container.
After the emptying process has ended, the flap closes the effect of their counterweight. She takes the swimmer and the valve in the closing direction, so that at the same time a proper closure of the valve is guaranteed and the Vacuum in the container can be built up again.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the Float connected to the flap by a lever system, which has a double-armed lever that swivels is stored on a container-fixed bearing and its one arm is hinged to the float while his other arm articulated with a bar which is articulated to the flap. Appropriately the rod is articulated on a pin, which in the Area of the outlet opening is arranged on the flap.
So that the swimmer can move freely at least within limits can execute and only when a certain one is reached Level floats, without any forces on the Transfer lever system or from the lever system to the float can be the connection of the double-armed lever have an elongated hole guide on the float extends in the direction of movement of the float.
The following is an embodiment shown in the drawing explained the invention; the only figure shows a schematic representation of a container for receiving medium containing pollutants with the help of Vacuum.
The container 1 shown has a bottom 2 with a central outlet opening 3 which can be closed by a flap 4 which can be pivoted from the outside against the outlet opening 3 . It is understood that seals, not shown, can be provided between the opening edge and the flap. The flap 4 is pivotally mounted at 5 and has a counterweight 6 which holds it in the closed position.
An intake port 7 opens into the container 1 above the bottom 2 . Media contaminated with pollutants are sucked into the container 1 through the intake port 7 . In the area of its cover 8 , the container 1 has a tubular dome 9 , from which a vacuum line 10 leads, which leads to a vacuum source, not shown. In the dome 9 there is a float 11 which can be moved up and down within the dome 9 . At the top of the float 11 includes a frame to 12, which belongs to a valve 13 which is controlled by the float. 11 If the float 11 is in a lower position, the valve 13 is closed. If the float 11 moves upwards, the valve 13 is opened so that outside air can flow into the dome 9 and thus into the container 1 , which cancels the effect of the negative pressure.
On the underside of the float 11 there is a pin 14 with an elongated hole 15 which extends in the direction of movement of the float 11 . In the slot 15 , an arm 17 of a double-armed lever is guided with a pin 16 , which is mounted at 18 in a container-fixed manner. On the other arm 19 of the double-armed lever, a rod 20 is articulated, which is articulated to a pin 21 arranged in the region of the lower outlet opening 3 on the flap 4 .
The container shown works as follows: The empty container 1 is shown in the drawing. The lower outlet opening 3 is closed by the flap 4 . Under the effect of the negative pressure applied to the negative pressure line 10 , media containing pollutants are sucked into the container via the suction nozzle 7 . Even with increasing fill level in the container 1 , the flap 4 remains closed because it is held in the position shown by the negative pressure. When the level of the media reaches the float 11 , the float is raised. The initial movement of the float 11 is not influenced by the lever system because of the elongated hole guide 15, 16 . The float 11 operates the valve 13 so that outside air can enter the container and release the negative pressure. This eliminates the additional closing force on the flap 4 , which now swings outwards under the weight of the liquid column acting on it and allows the media collected in the container to flow out. When the flap 4 is pivoted open, the float 11 is pushed further upwards via the lever system 17 to 20 , so that the valve 13 is fully opened and remains open until the container 1 is completely emptied. Then the flap 4 pivots under the action of its counterweight 6 back into the closed position and takes the float 11 with it, which at the same time also closes the valve 13 . The negative pressure can now take effect again, so that further media are sucked into the container through the suction nozzle 7 .
