Bei der ersten Aufnahme stehen die Nasen auf dem Teilstrich i, bei der zweiten Aufnahme auf dem Teilstrich 2 usw. Es werden auf diese Weise mehrere gesonderte Aufnahmen und zwar so viele, daß alle Teile des Schriftstücks abgebildet werden, auf Bromsilberpapier hergestellt. Die Schablone ist weiß gefärbt, so daß das von ihr zurückgeworfene Licht das Bromsillberpapier schwarz färbt, also auf das Bromsilberpapier genau, so einwirkt, wie das Schriftstück selbst nach stellenweiser Entfernung der schwarzen Schriftzüge einwirken würde. Die einzelnen Kopien können getrennt aufbewahrt, versandt und durch einen photographischen Reproduktionsapparat wieder vereinigt werden. Dies geschieht dadurch, daß sie nacheinander und in der ursprünglichem Stellung auf ein und dasselbe Blatt Bromsilberpapier kopiert werden.
