Schauglasfassung für Flüssigkeitsstandanzeiger 0. dgl. Die Abdichtung wurde bei allen bisher üblichen Formen in der Art erzielt, daß Packungen (Dichtungsringe) D auf die ebene oder konische Glasfläche aufgelegt wurden, wie dies die Abb. i: bis 3 zeigen. Alle diese bisherigen Ausführungsformen haben den Nachteil, daß durch das Zusarnmenp.-essen des Dichtungsmaterials infolge des Druckes die Schaugläser nach mehr oder weniger kurzer Betriebsdauer locker und undicht werden, so daß ein zeitweiliges Nachziehen der Klemmmuttern K nötig wird. Die Flächen F, des Glases und Ff der Fassung pressen beim Einmontieren des Glases die DichtungsmasseD so zusammen, daß ihre Querschnittslinie einen Doppelkeil darstellt, wodurch unter dem Einflusse des Druckes, gleichgültig von welcher Seite der Verschraubung er auftritt, das Dichtungsmaterial nur immer fester in die Keilwinkel a zusammei gepackt wird. Durch diese Formgebung der dichtenden Preßflächen lockert sich das Schauglas nie, da durch das Festerpacken der Dichtungen die Keilwirkung das Glas in achsialer Richtung gegen den Preßring stets fester klemmt. Hierdurch wird das Nachziehen während des Betriebes vermieden.
