Description

The negative material required for the three-color photographic process has hitherto mostly been produced in such a way that a layer made as sensitive as possible to all primary colors was applied to it and that the unwanted colors were then absorbed by color filters during the recording.
The innovation in the present proceedings

B. Dicyanin für Rot> Erytrosin für Grün, noch ein Schirmwirkung gebenderίο now consists in that not a panchromatic Layer, not even just a monochromatic layer, is applied to the image carrier is, but that the substrate with several monochromatic layers alternating one after the other, in any Arrangement is provided so that the separation in the wanted colors is possible because the unwanted visible and invisible rays remain ineffective. The monochromaticity of the individual photographic layers is thereby created achieved that in addition to the sensitizer in question, e.g. B. Dicyanine for red> Erytrosine for green, still giving a shielding effect

The dye is added to the emulsion, which the absorbs blue rays, e.g. filter yellow »K«. With these additives it is possible to understand the different sensitivities of each To compensate for partial emulsions so that there are no longer any differences in sensitivity.

The advantage of this method is that by eliminating the filter the exposure is significantly shortened, as well as one that is easily produced by rotating color filters Blurring is excluded.

This arrangement of the layers also has the advantage that all three partial negatives are on the same Layer carrier are located. It has been shown in practice that the sequence red, green, blue is one behind the other for Cinema films has proven to be the best, although it is not excluded that other arrangements are also possible give the same result. For color photography on plates a other arrangement may be more appropriate.

Applied to cinema films, one is able to use any existing recording device easy to use and by simply cranking up the color images to generate the necessary negatives; because the sensitivity of the negative material is due to its elimination of the filter only very slightly, almost not at all. Also the reproduction of the pictures is made possible by simply switching on a coloring screen in the display device, because the partial negatives are arranged in the correct order on the film. Even stereoscopic kmomatographic recordings can be made in natural colors in the manner be that when recording in a known manner, the two stereoscopic partial images through two lenses and reflection attaches to the film in series in the direction of movement, e.g. B. green and blue as right, red as left picture.

If then by unwinding the film behind the color sector a correct color Image is created, it is possible to create the stereoscopic effect by that the viewing of the images is done in the manner of anaglyphs through colored glasses.
