Barrel filling device. The present invention relates to an innovation
on such Faßfüllvorrichtungen in which the beer inlet valve when lowering the filling tube
opens automatically and vice versa when the filling tube reaches the top position
is closed automatically. The innovation is that the valve rod when
Arriving of the filling tube in its lowest position mediating a below
Brake pressure standing tooth segment inevitably shifted
and thereby
the valve is opened while the braked when lifting the filling pipe
Toothed segment the rack is taken up until it hits a stop
abuts, from where the toothed segment is moved in the opposite direction, so that
on the one hand the rack becomes free and can automatically slide downwards, on the other hand
the valve rod is released and under the action of springs in the valve closing position
can get.
The drawing illustrates an embodiment of this device, through FIGS. I to 3 in two side views and in a top view, with individual parts being shown in section.
From the representation of the valve as well as from other trivialities
has been removed because these are known and the innovation is only
relates to the movement of the valve rod.
It is here i the filling pipe, the upper end of which carries a lyre-shaped frame 2 through which it is guided in two vertical guide rods 3. q. is the inlet connection to which the beer supply hose is connected. 5 is the valve rod, which is grasped at its upper end by one or more springs 6 suspended in the frame: z and is pulled upwards by them. In the frame, on the one hand, a lever 8, swinging around 7, reaching over the upper end of the valve rod 5 and going beyond, and, on the other hand, the mentioned tooth segment 9, can be rotated about the pin io. The toothed segment 9 is braked by a spring ii pushed over the pin and a disk 12 located below it. The latter is provided with a nose 13 which engages over the free end of the lever 8. On the frame column 1q provided for such barrel fillers. a ring 15 is slidably arranged, which is secured against rotation by a tongue and groove and carries a short rack 16 with which the toothed segment is in engagement. All parts are shown in the position where the opening of the valve is to begin in the lower position of the filling tube. If the filling tube is moved from the position of Fig. I. moved further downwards, the toothed segment then rotates in the clockwise direction, whereby 13 presses against 8 and the valve rod 5 experiences a downward movement against i. If the barrel is filled and the filling pipe i is moved upwards, the valve must still remain open so that the space displaced by the filling pipe can be refilled. During this upward movement, the ring 15 is carried along by the braked toothed segment until it hits the stop 17 and does not allow any further upward movement. From then on, the toothed segment is rotated in the opposite direction, so that the lever 8 is free and the valve rod 5 can be pulled up by the spring 6, which results in a valve closure. It goes without saying that the nose of the toothed segment i3 can be made so long that it is able to grip over the upper end of the valve rod, so that the lever 8 is superfluous. Furthermore, you can take a double-armed lever in place of a toothed segment and the up and down sliding ring 15, which in the lower position of the filling rod against a on the column 1q. located stop, in the upper position abuts against the stop 17, whereby the same effect is achieved. The toothed segment 9 can also be connected to the lever 8 by means of a band or rope.
