Description
Walter Nax.in Berlin-Lichterfelde.Walter Nax. In Berlin-Lichterfelde.
Einrichtung zur Entfernung des Schwimmschlammes aus Abwasser-Reinigungsanlagen. Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 27. Juli 1919 ab.Device for removing floating sludge from wastewater treatment plants. Patented in the German Empire on July 27, 1919.
The removal of the floating sludge from wastewater treatment plants is considerable Difficulties because of the sludge solidified by drying in the least Cases can be removed directly through suction pipes; to do this it must first give him the Consistency of a somewhat liquid mud pulp, be it through Mixing with water or shoveling ίο and the like, but what with inconvenience ■ and Associated with evils.
According to the present invention, the purpose is achieved in that the suction pipe effecting the removal of the sludge has its suction mouth within an open channel which is sunk on or below the floating ceiling surface and into which the floating sludge can flow into an anteroom where a zo breaking, breaking up and pulp mixing at the entrance of the suction mouth takes place easily and almost by itself. The channel is expediently adjustable in height. In addition, however, the channel can be arranged so that it can swing, so that the effect of the division can be supported when it flows into the channel.
The device is illustrated by way of example on the accompanying drawing. Fig. 1 is a piecewise longitudinal section through a sewage treatment plant, the cross-section of which Fig. 2 shows the arrangement of the digestion chamber C between two longitudinal settling chambers A and B. Fig. 3 shows a plan view of the channel and the suction line. Fig. 4 shows the arrangement of a channel arranged to be oscillatable.
In a known manner, the wastewater treatment is carried out by means of the system in such a way that the wastewater located in the upper side upper parts or settling chambers A, B discharges its sludge through the gaps s, s into the lower septic tank C , where the digestion with the formation of a bottom sludge on the one hand and a floating mud cover rising upwards on the other hand. As usual, a suction line u provided with shut-off valves or slides ν, ν is used to remove the floating cover. According to the invention, the suction nozzles u l with their mouths in a z. B. trough-shaped channel α into it, which is sunk more or less deeply to the liquid level within the floating cover, and which presents a flat Sämmelraum of relatively limited volume. The suction line u is also connected to the suction openings on the bottom of the digester C by pipes w and valves w 1 . The channel is adjustable so that the hanging position can be adapted to the changing water level. As a rule, the upper edge of the channel should be a few centimeters below the level of the floating cover. In Fig. 2 an adjusting device is shown as an example, consisting of two screw spindles n, n, which can be screwed up and down by hand wheels m.
In Fig. 4 a modified device is shown, which allows a movement of the channel during the suction process'. The gullet trough α is swingable in dispensers at i and has an upwardly reaching lever h; a fixed bracket b forms a guideway for this lever and has holes to fix the respective setting of the lever by pin engagement. As can be seen from Fig. 4, you can bring the channel in a desired inclined position with this device in order to promote the one-sided inflow of the floating sludge; the loosening and dissolving of the hardened sludge can also be achieved by oscillating back and forth, so that the suction through the suction mouth u 1 is continuous and trouble-free.
