Mit der ausgefalzten Schiene a, in deren Falz der Mafsstab mit erhabenen Ziffern liegt (hier Centimetermafs), ist der Taster b rechtwinklig fest verbunden, während der Taster b¹, ebenfalls rechtwinklig zur Schiene, fest mit der Schublade verbunden ist und mit dieser über die ganze Schiene geschoben werden kann. Die Taster b b¹ sind von der Schiene aus länglich viereckig ausgeschnitten. Im Ausschnitt ist die Rolle c so angebracht, dafs die Mitte ihrer lichten Weite genau auf der Linie der Innenseiten der .Taster liegt. In derselben Linie befindet sich auf der entgegengesetzten Seite der Schiene α die Rolle c¹. Beide Rollen laufen auf Bolzen e¹, welche rechtwinklig mit der Stange e verbunden sind, die auf der unteren Seite der Schublade, parallel zum Querschnitt der Schiene, befestigt ist.
